I realize, Steve, that any old kit is available someplace, for collector prices, if you want to pay for it. Which is why I specifically stated in my opening comments to post only "end of the line" tools that had the possibility of reissue as is. It's interesting to see how many kits were never reissued, even though the last run was never modified. I'm personally enjoying the retro box reissues that were getting now. Makes me feel like I'm getting old vintage kits for current retail prices. Almost as if these old kits were left unpurchased on the shelves since they're original release.

On a 67 Impala project I had, I just used hubcaps from the 65 Wagon or El Camino. Looked close enough to me. You could also try the caps from Revells 66 wagon or Lindberg 66 SS.

ACE Balsa wood hot rod kits

That reminds me of the "build and take it" kits they have at Home Depot for the parents to teach their kids how to make things with simple hand tools. -
Just dug out my Charger projects (500, Daytona and original issue Dukes and compared all the hoods and just noticed they're possibly all different toolings. Not only are the scallop areas on top different, but I never realized that the underhood detail was different on all three too. Is it possible that the correct 69 hood (yellow) is still available for the regular Charger? Info or thoughts?

Palmer model kit history?
Oldcarfan27 replied to Oldcarfan27's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Good thing they did, with SAE gone so would have been your insights! -
These are tools that theoretically could be reissued because, to the best of my knowledge, they haven't been modified into anything else. Before I hear rants on how "that kit won't ever get reissued", bear in mind, this is just my wish list. Feel free to add to it. My only criteria is that the tool hasn't been modified since it's last release.

Reminds me of Camel Tan thats in my 78 T/A. It's a great color. I especially like it paired with dark green metallic! Looks nice in your Cuda too!

Great conversion you did. Front and back ends came out really nice. Reminds me of the 75 that my uncle owned back then. His was white with blue landau top and blue velour interior. Classy car! His was the first car I ever saw with power windows and AM/FM stereo - I thought I was in a limousine! In my opinion, it was the nicest car he ever owned. Later he traded it in on a Ford Futura, and they went downhill from there. Yawn. ??

I'll bet the Ford could still outperform it!!

I wasn't even aware he still owned that company.
