This kit also included the mini bike. Also included all of the stock parts - except the cap and regular size tires.

Anybody else but me think that Round 2 should get some sponsorship going for Auto parts companies to tie into their car/truck kits? How cool would it be to have a "Napa" shop truck. Or a "Champion spark plugs" short hauler? How about a "Pep Boys" 40 sedan delivery, or a Gulf oil stake truck (with newly tooled 55 gallon barrels)? Just sayin'

IMO that's a great match for the Coke machines and the kit. I'm sure Coke could've used a Chevy truck (as opposed to a mini Ranchero) to haul the machines around in. At least it makes sense to me. I just hope they are the 70s era machines and not the 50s era.

You know what that means..... GET TO BUILDING!!!!

Been trying to get oneof those VW vans for some time. Want it real bad, but I'm afraid it's still going to be too expensive for my wallet. Hopefully, because it's a US distributed kit this time, it's price will be more competitive. And it will show up at the "Lobby"!

I was going to suggest the same thing! Or maybe a car crash scene diorama. A couple of those took some brutal hits, and the damage lends itself to being from the scene of an accident. Sort of like making a "sows ear out of a silk purse" or so to speak.

Who Has all the molds ?
Oldcarfan27 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Are you kidding? When we repeat old threads, we get shamed. When we reopen old threads, we get this ☝! So it's a catch 22. Don't ask the same old question and don't reopen an old thread to bring in new information. Either gets lambasted by some. ? Personally, I don't care if it's new or old. If it's interesting to read, I'm glad it's available! ? Rant over and out! -
Whitewall decals on vinyl tires
Oldcarfan27 replied to Oldcarfan27's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
That's what I was afraid would happen. That's why I asked for all your guys' input. I like the washer mask idea, I'll have to try that one! -
I like the idea of rodding this Chrysler. I've thought about doing one, but just couldn't get past the length of it for a hot rod. Looking at it now, I think I would section out the area behind the front doors to the rear fenders. And create a more sporty "long hood, short deck" look to it. Might have to find one of these kits to try this out on.

Wow! So much improvement in 3d printers in such a short period of time. I remember just a couple of years ago we were on the cusp of this technology and it sounded so promising - but it was just sooooo expensive! Thousands (even tens of thousands) of dollars for printers that could only do rough, choppy products at best. Now, we can do stuff such as nice as this, using printers that are in the hundreds of dollars - with prices falling all the time. This are great days indeed!

Personally, I don't like anything bigger than 17s, maybe 18s at most. With tires no thinner than 60 or 50 series profiles. Especially on a classic car. While were at it, can we just STOP with the all black wheels on black tires! To me it looks like someone forgot to put the hubcaps back on the car. Seems like people buy black wheels because they're too lazy to clean them regularly and they think it won't show dirt and brake dust. It does!!!

Whitewall decals on vinyl tires
Oldcarfan27 replied to Oldcarfan27's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've done plenty of that, but many of the old whitewalls just aren't centered on the tires. Plus I want to do wider 70s rubber and most of the 60s tires are too skinny for 70s cars. Believe me, I'm always looking out for whitewall tires. I collect them when I can. I just want to have more options. -

Wheel Cover ID ?
Oldcarfan27 replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I didn't know that! I haven't wanted anything to to with this kit since the bad wheels in the Hot Rod issue, but if they're that good, I may have to seek one out! -
Can anyone tell me if they work well? Seems to me they would eventually peel off, crack or otherwise not be able to stick due to vinyl tires' flexibility. I have a lot of them, but just want to know the best way to make them stay put.

Who Has all the molds ?
Oldcarfan27 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I concur with your frustration! I remember I asked a similar question a few years ago, when I was a newbie, and got slammed and put in my place because "how dare I innocently ask a question that the entire world (but me) must already know." Although, I must say Greg, You got out a lot more new information than I did back then! Round 2 and Atlantis continue to surprise us with new announcements of "long lost" kits from way back when - so there may hope of unique stuff coming back in my lifetime! -

I just did a Google search and it sais Pryor "Buzz" Passarino of Santa Rosa, CA. passed away back in 2007. Unless there is more than one of him. IDK, but I remember a lot of his great car builds way back in the 80s.

Think Round 2 can import a Coca Cola version of it?
