  1. Yes, I think Revell issued the Nomad in midnight blue back in the 80s. I remember having one in that color.
  2. Not sure what you're plans are, but to me - this car needs a bubble top.
  3. Just checked one of mine today. Tons of pallets of all kinds of toys all around the store. None for model kits. ?
  4. Well it IS a Plymouth, not a Lamborghini! But that's why I personally like odd ball cars like this. Different from the common Camaro and 57 Chevy.
  5. According to Google H1260 and H1371 are both the Revell "Nightmare Series" kits. Not the Monogram kits.
  6. Hello! Always enjoyed him much more than Laverne or Shirley! RIP, friend.
  7. Went to 2 major retailers last night, looking for Christmas lights and both of them were cleaned out! Same with a lot of the decorations. Never seen stores run out this early in the season before. I'm glad to see that despite all the news of doom and gloom, folks are spending time cheering up and enjoying the holidays anyway. Merry Christmas to all!
  8. You're probably right. They wouldn't have to issue it as "Super Fly" and they probably couldn't get approval for the "Sweathogs" either. But they could simply issue it as a Custom Grand Prix and have the cool box art to go with it. No threats from the PC police!
  9. I was thinking of using the 70 Monte Carlo. The chassis might work too.
  10. Anyone for making a "Mega, Mashing Monster Truck"? I wonder if even the monster truck tires would be big enough. Then again Tamiya 1/10 scale R/C truck tires would fill the bill. If large is good then HUGE is just right!
  11. I had the same problem when Kalmbach acquired Scale Auto 20 years ago. First they whitewashed the magazine to look like all their other publications. Then they started lowering the content and adding a lot more ads. Then they cut the amount of pages in each issue and dropped the amount of issues per year from 12 to 8 to 6. Finally they raised the subscription rate. All within the first couple of years of their take-over. I never subscribed again.
  12. I'm sorry, I just can't get over the names of some of the Asian cars. Don't they hire someone to tell them what the names might mean in other countries? This one just sounds like the noise it would make when it hits something. I guess it's no different than a Dodge "Decrepid"
  13. That chrome looks great, how does it wear?
  14. That's funny! You're on a "roll" - with a HOVER CRAFT! ?
  15. Boy this review really went to left field! Went from being happy that it was coming out soon - to slamming it for being the wrong scale. Good grief guys, can we keep this train on the track?
  16. Blame Casey. If it's good enough for him, then it's good enough for us.
  17. I hate the real car, but you made the model look real good. Good enough that I may have to try to make something like this someday. Congrats!
  18. A lot of stores have to do that with their paint. And yes, they do have a problem with paint theft! Blame the taggers for that - not the store.
  19. Last time I checked Michael's only had "20% off entire purchase" coupons.
  20. That you did, I must've been too involved in my memories of pastel paints and feathered hairstyles.
  21. Can anybody tell me if that's Sonny Shroyer (Deputy Enos Strait in DofH) who played the motorcycle cop? It sure sounds like him.
  22. "Why are we doing this?" "For the money, for the glory and for the fun." "Mostly for the money!"
  23. Thats "Eighty thousan dollaths"... "Wynette!"
