  1. I remember this Museum was put together and operated back in the 80s and 90s by Mark Gustafson, who also lived in Sandy, Utah. Does anybody know whatever happened to him? He was a great promoter and enthusiast of the hobby.
  2. I remember those too. They were also in the old car model magazine articles, but I couldn't find any pictures online. That's why I asked if anybody else had any photos to post - I'd love to see them again.
  3. Great link to his builds, thanks for sharing.
  4. Yesssss, the project lives! It absolutely has the look and feel of a Tbird. I'm excited for your project. Thanks for all of the photos.
  5. Well, if they are on this forum, please stand up and take a bow. Because we have some really talented builders here. I enjoy them all!
  6. Well I saved it in the same folder as his, so your build is in good company. It looks impressive to me. Thanks for clarifying your work, I don't always have the name of the builder when I find them online, but it was attached to images with his work - so I thought....
  7. More like what happens when you use ALL of the custom parts included in the kit.
  8. Makes me want to buy it just so I can take a grinder and cut off all that travesty. Then again, it's probably all covering up the rust.
  9. That's an 80s build? Sure has held up well. If you were building THAT good 35 years ago, how great are your skills now? Paint looks like it's on steel, not plastic. Great job!
  10. I've got one of those old kits, yours makes me want to pull it out and start building it. Great inspiration.
  11. Very effective paint job - definitely looks the lowrider part. But I'm not sure if a lowrider worth it's salt would be rolling around on billet wheels, perhaps some Daytons or Cragars with whitewall tires. Colors are fabulous though!
  12. Beautiful job, looks like a 50s factory color combination.
  13. His attention to the smallest details, paint texture and sheen, type of tires, even the tint of the glass. He's made me strive for a more "in scale" look for everything I build. He should put out a book detailing each of his builds, I'd have to buy it! I'm more impressed by his work than someone like Chip Foose or Jesse James.
  14. TO ALL THE FOLKS WHOM I'VE COMPLETED TRADES ON THIS FORUM (You know Who you are). I've been on this forum for only 2 years and have met and traded with some of the most honest and upfront bunch of guys I have ever met. I haven't gotten burned once and have always gotten what was promised or sometimes even BETTER than what was promised! You guys all deserve a big Thank You, and I make a personal note of you guys, proven to have the best character, so I know who to trust and take care of in the future. My sincerest accolades to you!
  15. I was going through some of my saved images and this man's models are amazing! I remember his articles in an old model car magazine in the 90s. And yes, I know he has involvement in AirTrax resin kits. These are all models and NOT real cars. Please post more if you've got 'em.
  16. Seriously, you bring us to an interesting point. What if we treated each part as a model unto itself, how incredible would the final result be?
  17. Just like the real thing, impressive!
  18. Sometimes, there's just no accounting for taste https://www.thedrive.com/news/27247/this-bastardized-oldsmobile-is-simply-begging-for-a-merciful-death
  19. Primo collection, hard to believe a child owned those. I have quite a few favorite toys from my childhood, but alas, none of them look as immaculate as yours do. I have recaptured toys from my youth, thanks to Ebay. Brings back happy memories.
  20. I was just going to put a big ?????for you too. Thanks and I know we'll trade again! Good stuff, Scott.
  21. I didn't know that. Good to know.
  22. What did you use to glue the styrene to the acetate? Did you add reinforcements to keep the car from warping anymore? I want to do the same with some of the "banana boats" I have in my parts boxes. Great save of a hopeless case!
  23. And does it have a functioning reverse lock out? Amazing detail!
  24. Any updates to your project Phil? Don't leave us hanging, want to see more!
  25. Explain why you'd need to get permission from the copyright holder to print anything for your own personal use? I'd get it if you were going to sell copies to people. But, when you just want them on your own walls - I don't think they have a say in what you do with them.
