  1. I think another hurdle is licensing. First they'll have to get Chrysler LLC, then Warner Bros. (for Road Runner), Good Year for the tires, and on and on. Everybody wants a little piece of the pie. And that pie needs to guarantee a return on the investment. Same reason we keep seeing reissues of Pontiac Firebirds and not Trans Ams. Now if Coca Cola would make their own cars and tires - we'd be all set!
  2. Took too much time to spell check too! Ooops
  3. TTTMC That takes too much time! ?
  4. Oooh, jackpot this month! I like the stakebed with the NEW Coke vending machine kits - great idea! I've been wanting the White Western Star for a while, good to know I wont have to pay inflated prices for it. The Peterbilt, Hemi Under Glass and 74 Roadrunner are just icing on the proverbial cake. Great stuff!
  5. Another great trade from Iamsuperdan. Thanks Dan.
  6. Really nice job on both. The recipients should be happy!
  7. If it was slightly tinted blue/green like the Solar Ray glass used on real cars, I'd be all for it!! And include a blue fade band on the decal sheet for the top of the windshield, please? Things like that would get me to buy these old relics, for sure. That and more variety of accurate (for the time period of the car), everyday license plates (not personalized) and underhood decals with each kit.
  8. Oohh, I'd be interested in 60s and 70s Caddies. Even parts, builtups and junkers. I have a few that need bumpers, hoods, wheels and interior parts so I'm always looking for them!! There just aren't alot of kits of them. Keep me in mind if you find anything, Snake!
  9. Looking at those bodies, when I can get one, I have one word to say.... "Milner"
  10. Yeah, right where the confederate flag would've been!? And maybe they could put the letters "I" and "T" where the 01 used to be! "Coke is IT"
  11. I second that! I'd love to have some 1/24th scale 70s luxo-barges like the GMC Motorhome and Winnebago. But, I know they'd be large and EXPENSIVE!
  12. Not sure about anyone else's opinion, but to me, this car beats the Pocher kits by a mile and a half!
  13. That HAD to have been issued, sometime, as a certain brown Texarkana Sheriff's police car!! And it would go perfectly with my Bandit Trans Am in the same scale! Where did you get it from?
  14. I've used a cut down hood from the Monogram 1/24 65 "Black Rat" Vette. If it's a flat hood you're looking for, it'll fit with a little filing around the edges. Be sure to match up the dome before you start.
  15. "My Maserati does 185. I lost my license, now I don't drive..." (Life's been good - Joe Walsh) This is the song I think of when I see this car, and the car I think of when I hear the song! Every time!!
  16. Maybe this? Or this? I know Revell was making kits without chrome back in the late 70s-early 80s.
  17. All Pontiac engine blocks are the same size. Unlike Chevy, which has small and big block engine families - Pontiac's are all the same physical block. The difference is in the bore and stroke of the displacement. So the 301 should visually look the same as the 400, but internal parts are not interchangeable. Hope this helps
  18. Ok, leave the Levis logo empty or off the box art. They could include the letters all scrambled up on the decal sheet and we can put it back together if we wanted to. Ford logo should be a slam-dunk since they have to get Ford's OK for the van anyway.
  19. That's me! But I do sometimes take a pause to do shortcuts. Either way, I'll stop if it's not fun.
  20. You want a Coca Cola van issue? My vote is for this...
  21. Now that's a model worth building!! But it HAS to have a detailed engine - no curbsides for this one!
  22. Thanks guys for the interest. I haven't moved farther since then because of the grille design, but you've inspired me to try to continue to figure one out. That's pretty much the last major hurdle for it, anyway. That, and painting it without ruining all off the work I've put into it so far.
  23. Same here, my friend. Great trade!
  24. Add these to the list. A 71 'Cuda from the NEW 70 tool. A 72 Pontiac Ventura 2 from the Nova tool. A Grand Wagoneer from the Jeep Honcho A 71-72 Elky from the 68 tool A 71-72 Chevelle from the 70 snapper. A Grand Prix from the 77 Monte Carlo snapper (with the entire roof corrected, please)
  25. Don't forget the Brady Bunch! A 71 to 72 conversion.
