  1. I haven't seen this build before today... Very nice, great work!
  2. Thanks guys!
  3. X2
  4. Thanks again for your feedback, gentlemen! Thanks David, this is a very simple kit but it works very well in its simplicity. For instance, the way that the interior tub is fixed to the body, the body is fixed to the chassis - using the good old "male/female fixing" technique, it's just working great. You'll have to add some BMF and painting details to the interior and deal with quite a lot of BMF'ling on the body. But that's not unusual for a kit of that era. There really are no "traps" that have to be considered. It has to be said though, that the engine detail is a downside on this kit. As are the kit's metal axles . But then again, when building such an old kit, I really do not bother too much. Thanks Steve. It would be great to see a re-release of this kit. I might be tempted to build another one, this time in the Lightweight version. I'll take that as a compliment! Actually, I got the idea for the color scheme from this image on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Galaxie#/media/File:1963_Ford_Galaxie_sedan_2_--_06-05-2010.jpg
  5. Thanks a lot for your kind words!
  6. Great work on the hinges, Steve. They look great but (naturally, in scale) also kinda fragile. Are they really supposed to be working several times? I have found something similar last year. They look great when painted and mounted correctly. But they are not WORKING ones, so you can only display the hood open. http://www.davecoleysemporium.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p6920_After-Market-Bonnet-Hood-hindge-kit-keeps-the-hood-open-for-display-2-pairs-per-pack.html
  7. Excellent build - like it a lot! Great overall work and it looks really 'real'.
  8. Wow! Early days of February only, and you have finished your second build already! High quality at high speed! The turquoise color is a nice change for the more common red or black body colors. Very nice interior as usual, the dark color is a nice contrast with the body color!
  9. Hi folks, I got this one done. AMT "Prestige" series, stone-old kit as we all know. Built mostly OOB, Painted with Tamiya TS colors. No clearcoat.
  10. You sure know how to apply your 2k clear in a nice way. To be honest though, to me it looks like the decals didn't take it too well. Most of the white areas do have an "uneven" look about them. It might be that the surface itself is smooth, but maybe the one below the decals wasn't?
  11. Very nice progress on the engine as well as the dash! Looking forward to the next interior steps!
  12. Hi Ludwig, another "great all over" build! Very nice detailing in the interior section. Nice to see you took on the detail painting in body color on the bumper top and between the grille and the headlights section. It makes a LOT of a difference!
  13. Another excellent performance from you - very well done!
  14. I saw this WIP only now... VERY cool project, JC! I will be following along! I'd like to add that the Gemballa actually WAS a Fujimi-based kit. Revell sold some Fujimi EM model kits (Porsche turbo, Ferrari 246) under their "Revell Premium" brand. The Gemballa kit was even sold under the Fujimi brand in some countries. I think the model looks horrible on the package using the kit's BBS wheels. But that can be dealt with, using the RUF wheels that JC will use for the CTR. IMHO this looks about alright: https://uncrate.com/de/article/1986-gemballa-avalanche/
  15. Nice work on this nice snapper kit! But I would have liked to see what you have done to the front grille...
  16. Good & clean - very nice!
  17. Thanks guys for your kind words, much appreciated! I especially like the fact that several people have their own "favorite" among my builds! So the overall quality appears to be OK. Thanks Bernard! I agree, the camera eye shows no mercy... The Talladega was a "hell" of a build in the worst possible sense. I initially painted the body in Royal Maroon with Gravity colors and 1k clear coat from Zero Paints. I basically like and get along well with their products, but the ZP 1k clear is C**P! So I had to strip the paint using my usual chemicals but the body did not take it well. Some parts practically broke out of the body which needed fixing. A lot of setbacks, but I pulled through and in the end I was okay with the result. Thanks for this kind compliment, Steve! Knowing your abilities and your beautiful builds, it's nice to see that you enjoy looking at other people's builds, too! Thanks Dann! I learnt a lot on the Camaro build, this was my first real US car build! More to come!
  18. That's a real nice piece of custom!
  19. Cool variety of unusual subjects, very well executed!
  20. Extremely cool models! Very well done!
  21. Very nice!
  22. Great builds! I especially like the Fairlane and the Merc!
  23. COOL builds! Not my personal style at all, but very well executed and good-looking!
  24. Very nice results, all of them!
