Thanks, guys! I made my own, the only difference is I used "1A" as a phonetic Easter egg (One-ay = Hon-ey) ?

AMT Shelby Cobra 289 kit built as the car driven by Anne Francis in Honey West. WIP thread is available here. There are a few things I'd do differently if I were to build it again, but for a quick & easy project I'm happy with the results.

Beautiful job on this, it looks super clean!

On the home stretch now! The body has been painted, and other than a couple of dust specks to be polished out I'm pretty happy with it: I also have the engine complete save for the battery and a few minor paint details... ...and the dashboard is finished. The casting on the gauge faces was nice and sharp, so I decided to go with paint instead of decals. I did make a new steering column, though, since the one in the kit was more oblong than round. Next: steering wheel, pedals, levers, and seats (all painted and drying now). Then I'll need to scratch build the phone, since I don't think anything in my parts box is quite close enough to the look of the one in the show.

Thanks guys! That Elan was an old Gunze kit so it had the usual quirks but went together nice overall. As for the Cobra, the gills are now in and setting. Tomorrow morning I'll give them a final light sanding and then wash the car in preparation for paint. How much I get done is going to be heavily dependent on what the weather does, since we're expecting a wintery mix starting tonight.

Not in styrene, but there was a resin option The current GMC "Deserter" was released as the Fall Guy truck: I don't think MPC had an official Charlie's Angels kit (Revell had the license at the time, and used it on their custom Chevy Van), but they did release this: -
Thanks, guys! I've started in on the body: removing the mold lines, deepening the door seams, and roughing in the fender gills. I got that one covered!

This is brilliant, probably the best use of one of these old Palmer kits!

Nice work, Sarge's truck is looking great! Not only the warring details between stunt vehicles, but the fact that usually none of them match the vehicle's description. I usually just try for something that "seems right."

The engine is now installed, and I've started attaching the exhausts. I'm using the kit-supplied parts as far as the mufflers, then everything after that will be aluminum tubing. I also started work on the interior tub. The inside was painted flat red, then the firewall was glued in place, the seam filled, and the outside was painted silver. The dash is semi-gloss black with Molotow chrome accents, and gauges will be done with decals.

Yeah, that was a goof on my part. But since there's a few other factory-inaccurate details like the bright chrome valve covers and aforementioned aftermarket wiring, I can claim it's had some work done under the hood. I'm just trying to keep it to something that could have existed between September '65 and April '66.

I appreciate your checking me on it - more than once I got a thought in my head and ran too far the wrong way before someone called me on it. Thanks for that!

February '66 Hot Rod says it's OK ...though I was also thinking about going over them once the glue's dry, and aiming for something more like this:

Thanks, guys! I did add a strip of .0.0" x .080" to the outer frame rails, and a dry test fit looked like everything still fits with no problem. Since that all looked good, I painted the chassis and installed the front shocks and rear axle. These are the spoked wheels from AMT's '65 Riviera with parts box tires (maybe from Revell's '67 Mustang?). I also started in on the engine: Ford blue, silver for the bell housing and intake manifold, steel for the transmission. I decided to wire up the engine, so I drilled out the kit-supplied distributor and added the plug wires. Once everything has set overnight, I'll drill out the heads and plug the wires into their appropriate sockets.

Thanks, guys! Also, thanks for the tip JC - I thought those outer beams seemed a little thin.

I've just started work on my next TV/movie car, the Shelby Cobra 289 driven by Anne Francis in Honey West. The bulk of my work so far has been cleaning up flash, which is substantial on this old AMT tooling. There's also not much to go on as far as positive locators, which combined with the multi-part suspension makes for fiddly assembly. So far so good, though.

Nicely done! -
Excellent job on this, Smokey's cars were always great looking.

Awesome job on this, it totally looks the part!

More progress on the Hot Rods to Hell body: the front end is now clipped, and the rear wheel openings have been radiused. Unfortunately, the latter caused two problems: first, the inner fenders weren't designed for bigger openings, and the edges of them are now visible - I'm going to have to cut them off and make bigger fender liners. Second, all of my tires are either the right style but wrong size, or right size but too new. Looks like I'm going to have to get creative here...

Outstanding work as always!

Nice clean work on this, it looks like it could have been a concept floating around Detroit at the time.

Nice looking Chargers!
