  1. Thanks, guys! From anything that I've read or heard, all the cars in the movie had Chevy 350 engines - inexpensive, reliable, and easy to upgrade. But since I didn't need to be practical, I went for the gusto!
  2. Thanks!
  3. Thanks, guys!
  4. Thanks, guys! One of the things I like about this Merc is how not-fru-fru it is. There's nothing pretty, or elegant, or sophisticated about it...it's like it was carved rather than built, and imbued with all the crude muscle that implies.
  5. Beautiful job on this!
  6. Awesome job on this, that's brilliant!
  7. My build of Marion Cobretti's ride from Cobra. I started with Revell's '49 Merc kit and replaced the engine, modified the stance, gave it an upgraded interior with custom belts and a '50 dashboard, and customized the body to fix the hood corners, add the scoop, and give it correct bumpers (among other chages). Paint was "Cobra Slate Grey" by ScaleFinishes. A full writeup is available here, as always any comments/criticisms are welcome!
  8. Nice progress, guys! That Cobra looks fantastic, and some nice work underway on the Camaro and Mustang.
  9. Nice job on the restoration, that looks great!

  12. Awesome job on this, the modifications and choice of color are fantastic!
  13. Awesome job on this, it looks great!
  14. Nicely done!
  15. Thanks, guys! It was a fight, and I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, but considering the subject and kit I'm happy shooting for "close enough" on this one! ?
  16. Nicely done, the color, graphics, and wheels all go great together!
  17. Looking good, guys!
  18. Starting with Revell's "Hot Rod" Chevy Street Pickup and a Morgan Automotive Detail long box, I lengthened the chassis, corrected the front suspension, and added the custom grille, bumpers, roll bar, wheels, and lights through a combination of scratchbuilding, kitbashing, and 3D printing. A full writeup of the build is available here, and as always comments/criticisms welcome. And, just for grins, a shot of it with my T2 Harley-Davidson:
  19. Nice job, that looks great!
  20. Very clean work, that looks great!
