  1. Time, and maybe this thread, will never end.?
  2. Thanks Steve. Yeah, just making it up as I go along.? Nice build Steve! Thanks Dennis. I hope to bring it sometime this year.? Thank You Jim. I’m not a huge fan either, but I had to try this one. Not sure my techniques are tutorial quality, but you are right….I am having fun with it.?
  3. I have wiped it down with a used dryer softener sheet. That helps some. Or you can also buy anti-static brushes I think, although I haven’t tried them. It is annoying when your panel line accent jumps off the brush and onto the surface.?
  4. My only Holy Grail was never kitted. So I had to make it by modifying and casting a diecast Willys Overland pickup.
  5. The new good stuff is on the right.
  6. You could probably scratch build a starter from evergreen in short order too?
  7. Mistaken…I once thought I was mistaken, but that turned out to be false.?
  8. I remember watching that show as a kid…and also Fireball XL-5.
  9. Nice accurate work on that engine bay Tony!?
  10. It IS a beautiful car. Come on all you 3D printers….get on it!?
  11. Kits are a type of fox that have huge ears.
  12. Went for a walk with the wife today in a local city owned park. Didn’t go far before noticing that some folks don’t bother to clean up after their dogs.? Then just a little ways down the trail we came upon this disgrace!? With all the taxes we pay, this should not be happening! No wonder some people don’t feel obligated to do their part.?
  13. Do I detect a note of sarcasm??
  14. In my mind, it’s not a toy, so they do not need to turn. Also, a flat spot can be sanded on the bottoms so it looks like they are weight loaded. I’m not real worried about them rolling off the shelf though. JMO.
  15. Lately I’ve been having trouble getting motivated.
  16. Just FYI. Same two spoons with Mr. Hobby UV Cut clear gloss on the left spoon and Tamiya TS-79 semi gloss clear on the right one.
  17. I just picked up a Molotow refill, but haven’t sprayed any yet. Does it matter what you spray it on top of? Primer or black paint or??? Thanks!
  18. Beatniks would probably know how to play this game correctly.
  19. I have an AMT ‘69 Mustang Mach 1 that I started way back in 2018.? I Never got past partially assembling the engines. Same with a Monogram ‘64 GTO that I started in…..LOOK….a Squirrel!?
  20. Place glued parts on painted surfaces carefully to avoid smears.
  21. Thank you Steve. That is pretty much where it sits.? I have a few modified builds started and work on which ever one I get motivated on….and a few near OOB builds too. I’ll get back to it soon. Do you have a build thread or pics of yours?
  22. I had some spare time today so I did a test with some tremclad semi gloss that I have. I thinned it approximately 1:1 with lacquer thinner. It sprayed real nicely I think. Tremclad is made by Rustoleum and marketed in Canada. I believe it is likely the same stuff as Stevens first picture., although I couldn’t find a comparison that would verify it.
