  1. Yes, the stance is lookin good!😎
  2. Here is a link to a video after his 60th birthday three years ago. Sounds like he’s had some life changes like becoming a Grandpa. I hope he is well and enjoying life and family. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itvbMMgBvRg
  3. I like the colour too. Nice detailing on the interior.👍
  4. Have you tried Smooth-On? They have a couple of resins with a longer pot life. I don’t find them overly brittle.
  5. The Monogram grill actually fits with only a bit of filing on each end. it sits a little too far forward though, so I removed about 0.020” from the nose of the body and also scraped a bit away to lower the grill slightly. The AMT hood has no separate chrome trim so I decided to trim 0.040” off the leading edge and make one from styrene sheet. I scribed a cut line and after making a couple of passes it dawned on me that it looked pretty good just like that. So I foiled it to get a better perspective and am quite satisfied with it as is.🙂
  6. It annoys me how brittle those little PC board drill bits are. They seem to be the best ones for drilling aluminum or brass….but I go through a lot of them! I’m getting better now that I bought a press stand for my rotary tool. I just hope the wife never finds a broken chunk in the carpet with her toe.
  7. I enjoy hacking something up and reconfiguring it somehow to make it unique and “my own”.
  8. Berries should be picked when they are nice and ripe.
  9. These are my second favourite after the Klassics!😎
  10. Eye ball engineering takes some skill and talent so that things don’t go wrong horribly.
  11. I think it looks pretty darn fine Tom!👍😎
  12. Looks great David.👍😎All that chrome really makes the blue paint “pop”. I will definitely be checking up on this thread when I get around to building mine.
  13. I don’t have a picture of my actual car, but it was a ‘67 Falcon like this with a straight six and auto. Paid $400 for it in 1977.
  14. Thanks Guys!🙂 I did a little contour correction around the headlight bezels, scribed in the missing body seam and added the turn signal bezels that I will foil later. The front bumper needs a bit of tweaking to fit nicely and I’d like to pin it somehow for a more positive mount. The grill really doesn’t have any nice mounting points.😕 I do happen to have a nicer Monogram grill that almost fits so I think I will use it instead. That’s all for tonight.🙂
  15. Thanks Guys. I have two complete AMT Nomad kits with instructions. The Monogram convertible kit I only have the instructions and a partial chrome tree. I am missing the chrome piece from the Monogram kit that attaches to the hood. I don’t like the AMT setup, so I think I will use the Monogram grill and scratch build a piece for the hood.
  16. I believe the top grill is the one from the Nomad kit I am working on. And I think the bottom one may be from a Monogram ‘55 Convertible kit that was in a box of parts. Can someone confirm this? I like the bottom grill better but don’t have the top bar that mounts to the hood. The top one really has no defined mounting points and the lower one would only need a bit of filing to nestle in nicely. 🧐????
  17. We have two relatively new La Z Boy recliner rockers upstairs that we are very happy with. But this thing is not what we expected. It has all the power options, but the mechanisms are very loose and sloppy. We are not optimistic about the longevity of it. I am 5’6” and the wife is 5’2”ish so we like the fact that they make furniture for shorter people. Buyer beware!😕
  18. The tailgate on this kit is captured between tabs on the floor pan and the body. So the tailgate is designed to be installed at the same time as the floorpan.😕 That doesn’t work for me…so I made some new hinges from aluminum. Now the tailgate can be installed as a last step pretty much. Now to tackle some hood hinges.🙂
  19. Pieces of plastic everywhere due to my clumsiness.
  20. The service guy from La Z Boy is coming this afternoon to replace all the padding in our one year old recliner loveseat. He had to come over last year just after it was delivered to replace the “cardboard” and padding on the center console. He told us then we would likely have to call just before the warranty was up to get the padding replaced. We paid thousands for this leather trimmed POS.🤬 They offered to upgrade the padding for an extra charge…I told them they already had enough of my money and they were never going to get any more.😡
  21. The paint job looks very nice!👍
  22. Don’t know if He’s still around? His last post was Dec 2022. Maybe someone on here knows him?
  23. I would recommend Milliput fine white for a two part putty. I’ve had some on my desk for a few years now and it is still fine. It comes in two sticks that you mix together. I cut a chunk off of each, roll them into separate balls to compare the amounts then knead them together (wearing latex or nitrile gloves).
  24. Can’t go wrong with a set of Keystone Klassics.😎
