  1. Years and years from now history will only remember me as a slight blip on a few website forums….and I’m O.K. with that.
  2. Beautiful work so far Mark!👍
  3. Looking good! You could switch to lacquers or acrylics. Both dry quicker than enamels. I’m no paint expert, but you could also try thinning the Rustoleum with a bit of lacquer thinner?
  4. Way to keep things out of the landfill.👍 Carry on!😎
  5. The blue looks nice!😎 Vallejo makes an ivory that might be close to what you want? Or possibly Mr.Color 313 Yellow?
  6. Forth without with is tough to start a sentence with, so I’ll take the easy way out.
  7. Around the halfway point in building an older Revell 55 Chevy coupe, momentum ground to a halt.
  8. It’s looking good Len!👍😎
  9. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that…models aren’t like women.😳
  10. Exact control of the exacto knife will yield the results you desire exactly.
  11. Perfectly normal. I tend to like assembling engines and suspension parts and doing any chopping or bodywork. Then I kind of stall out and resist getting the paint phase started or completed.🥴 So I start another one.
  12. From the American Chemical Society site: “Ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate and its cousins polymerize instantly in water. The small amount of moisture in air is enough to initiate polymerization. The polymer forms within a matter of minutes, creating a bond that is often stronger than the materials it joins.” It will also react with cotton and some other materials creating fumes.
  13. Cool bodywork ! 👍😎
  14. Nice job on the chop!👍😎
  15. Here is my contribution. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/161380-making-headlights/
  16. Beatles in their heyday were almost as invasive as beetles.
  17. In my experience, when removing clear parts from the sprue, it’s best to use a saw to cut the sprue close to the attachment point. Then use a file or sanding stick to remove the remainder. Using nippers risks cracking the plastic since clear parts are more brittle than regular styrene.
  18. Beautiful work Jason.👍
  19. Or, the toes could be sanded back a bit too?
  20. I wonder how the Desoto grill would look mounted upside down with the last bumper option?😈
  21. I have a Paasche H and although it is a really great airbrush, it may be a little small for 1/8 scale projects. Here is a video that may give you some good info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0dKHxv0gGo
  22. Great video and some great projects you’ve got going on.👍😎 I wish you and your family all the best.
  23. Long ago when I was a child, building a model car didn’t take nearly as long as it does now.
  24. I rarely use enamel paint so have no first hand experience….but this is what the bottle says. Maybe try thinning down some water based acrylic paint to use?
  25. That’s why you sneak into your neighbour’s yard and shoot it down.😜 Seriously…if they are flying over defence bases they belong to the government. If they are over residential neighborhoods they belong to Amazon. JMO.🧐
