  1. When I post photos, I click the add files box, select documents, click the photo I want and it appears in the box below. Then I just click the photo and it appears in my post. Haven't had an issue so far.
  2. I'm just the opposite. I much prefer the engine in this and the Rat Roaster kit. I bought the RR for the engine and other parts. I especially like the Weiand supercharger better.
  3. I've never built one these newer roadsters. I've always used them for parts. Usually the bucket seats, engine/transmission, rearend, disc brakes and wheels/tires.
  4. I'll be watching Bob! I built one years ago. But, I want another one to build like the original Monogram box art. I even have the flame decals saved.
  5. The JoHan Comet pro stock comes with the 429 Boss. The Maverick comes with the cammer.
  6. Me too. But, it's not much worse than the Moebius pickups with the floorpan 6-7 mms above the rocker panels. IIRC, the AMT '50 Chevy pickup also has no floorpan.
  7. Sharp as tack Steve! I really like that color! Great restoration! I have a new tool '62 that I hope to get to someday.
  8. And sand away the bump in the reveal. That will be a tricky little task.
  9. The Monogram Bronco isn't that great either. No floor pan, half of a firewall and wrong underhood detail.
  10. Good start! One thing, your blower snout is on upside down. It should be on the left side.
  11. No need to go back to that stuff. We have Tamiya that can be sprayed over bare styrene.
  12. With Round2 coming out with the new Bronco and Charger, I'm going to put my hopes on them for a new Mustang. Maybe they'll do the 2023?
  13. Looks nice Tony! It takes a dedicated man to take a model out in the cold and snow to photograph it! Nice work!
  14. Not that I'm aware of. I was thinking the '34 was totalled in the crash. But, I guess not.
  15. Very nicely done Sonny! One of the best examples of a Pantera I've seen yet! I've liked these cars ever since I saw the first one when I was a kid. Someday, I'll get around to building one.
  16. Looks like you had a great year Claude! That's a cool batch of models to put on display!
  17. On a chassis like you just did, I won't sand before clear unless there's a flaw that needs it. On a body, I always sand the paint before clear with at least 1000 grit to get the paint as smooth as possible. When you shoot the clear, all of the sanding scratches will disappear. I normally shoot two coats of clear, sand with 2000 grit and shoot one more. Then sand and polish. If you don't plan to polish the paint, just shoot one good wet coat.
  18. Maybe try Tamiya TS-11 Maroon next time for your paint. Followed by three coats of Tamiya TS-13 clear.
  19. Yeah, it does! I hope they do another generation Mustang to this standard! Especially, a late model. As nice as this kit looks, I'm gonna pass on it.
  20. Here's a couple of photos of the fix. It was really simple. I just glued a piece of. 020 styrene to the bottom of the cowl and brush painted it. I glued it so the edge was past the original piece. It made a small reveal and almost makes it look like it should be there. So, I'm happy with how it looks. No gap! Now, I'm ready to glue the body permanent once I get the radiator and support glued on.
  21. My first thought too. But, it's painted. Moebius may not replace it now. They could contend that the paint used on it caused it to warp. Not saying they would. Just that they possibly could. Why would anyone paint a badly warped part? Warped parts are a recurring issue for Moebius. If you have a Moebius kit, you better open it and inspect it! Don't wait!
  22. Yep, you'll have to strip that and start over. Hope that the styrene didn't craze or you'll have a lot of sanding to do. And you'll probably have to sand the crazed areas with 400 grit. Then sand with 600 before primer. Chalk it up to a valuable lesson in what happens when you mix brands. Next time, use all Zero products or all Tamiya. I prefer Tamiya as I know it won't attack and craze styrene.
  23. The firewall is part of the interior. There's no way to cut it loose and move it up. I've got the gap down to .020. I'm going to do what I mentioned earlier to fix it.
  24. No, I have too much work in this one to change now. I still have the original interior. But, it leaves a lot to be desired. That's why I changed it. I removed the dash and did another test fit. It made practically no difference. I could push it together. But, it made the door panels come above the body slightly. I'm going to stick the radiator support in and check the fit with it also. If it's OK, I'm going to make a filler piece that will glue to the bottom of the cowl and paint it beforehand. Hopefully, it'll look decent.
  25. That's a nice looking '29! I really like the subtle colors! What's the name of the Tamiya blue?
