  1. If you remove the floorpan from the frame, it may cause a fit issue with the rear splash guards and the body. It may cause an issue with the splash guards up front as well. It may cause no issues at all. If your luck is like mine, it will cause many issues that will delay completion by at least a week!
  2. Actually, the boxart shows the driver on the right.
  3. Thanx! I think you could get by with moving the rear wheel openings forward. Maybe the fronts slightly towards the rear also. In my case, I had already done so many modifications, what was one more?
  4. The easiest way to fix it is to cut it all away and replace it. Just like the full scale. This model has the wrong badge on the fender. It has the Custom Deluxe 20 badge.
  5. The wheelbase fix is pretty simple Jim. You just need to move the crossmember back 1.5 mms. IIRC, I also eliminated an unnecessary bar. Here's a photo of the chassis I built. I had to do several modifications to get the engine and transmission in.
  6. I now have the chassis completed! Just have to add the wheels, tires and brakes. I'm waiting for the chrome to strip on the disc brakes. I had to modify them to fit. I also have to add the valve stems to the wheels. I stuck the wheels on to check the stance. I can live with this! I also checked the fit of the rear bumper to make sure the exhaust didn't interfere.
  7. That's a sharp looking Grand Prix Tim! The stock eight lug wheels are goofy looking. But, those 23" look cool!
  8. Looks like the right quarter panel cracked on you.
  9. The 2WD Blazers were also badged K/5.
  10. Has anyone ever seen a '72 Chevy K/10 or K/20 badge? I never have. Same for the '73-'87s. I remember the C and K being on the 1500, 2500 and 3500. But, not before that.
  11. That is a wicked looking Road Runner Tim! I'm usually not a fan of the over the top colors. But, with the wheels it has on it, it works perfect! Nice work!
  12. To me, it doesn't look right as a SRW. With it being a "C/40", it should be a dually with dually style wheels and more narrow aggressive tires. Add stepside fenders to the bed and eliminate the fender flares. Also don't like the rear bumper.
  13. You need one of us to come down there and light a fire under you? ? This project has me thinking of an old five window I started years ago and years. I added louvers to the hood, changed the rearend, widened the rear wheels and opened the doors. Thinking I also channelled it. You have me wondering what that Pearl Green would look like with a coat of flat clear over it.
  14. Hate to say it Jim. But, it looks like you're having the same wheelbase issue that I had with mine. That's how mine looked the first time I stabbed it together. I saw no way to move the front axle easily. Tried tilting it forward. But, that didn't work for some reason I can't remember. So, I centered the front wheels and moved the rear wheels back.
  15. There's Pegasus, Fujimi and Aoshima. Jayswheelsandtires on ebay makes a bunch of nice 3-D printed wheel, tires and disc brakes sets.
  16. It probably is the MPC kit. It may have been the Spyder Monza. I'd have to check to make sure.
  17. Never seen a boat with the driver on the left either. I've owned a boat of some sort since the '90s. The boxart on the Rawson Craft ski-drag boat shows the driver on the right side. My older brother had a little jet boat with a Ford 460, tunnel ram, two fours and Nitrous. Crazy fast. But, it would beat you to death! It was like a rock skimming across the water. Except the faster you went, the faster it bounced. I asked him if it ever smoothed out. He said, "Yeah, about 70 it gets smoother. At 90, it gets real smooth!" Unfortunately, the lake was too busy to get it up to either speed. Probably a good thing. I think that's why kits of drag boats don't do that well. The average boater like myself would rather have something similar to what they actually take to the lake. Drag boats are fun for a few minutes. But, they're not something you can spend the day on.
  18. I have one very similar to that in the stash. But, it has different decals.
  19. I have the AHC-100 Camaro in the stash. Always meant to build it. But, still haven't got around to it.
  20. Nice looking Super Bee Larry! The color suits it perfect! Nice work!
  21. That's the first full scale 3W '40 I've seen! It looks very well done! I looked at using the '36 roof. But, it just didn't "fit" the '40 to me. In more ways than one. I didn't feel it would have a natural look with the different windshield and shape. I modified the roof on mine.
  22. Then all you need is an Escalade EXT for the 4wd parts and suspension. You may even be able to use the frame from it. Just have to lengthen it.
  23. It has the wheels from a 4wd. But, it's not. Notice that the upcoming reissue has them and it's lowered down. I thought the stock version was 4wd also as it clearly has one on the box.
  24. Thanx Carl! Yeah, the Mach III is a pretty good parts car. The engine/transmission, exhaust, mufflers, frontend, disc brakes, tires/wheels and seats are all nice pieces.
  25. That chassis has everything molded in.
