How about water slide decal paper? A couple of layers ought to do it. -
That looks very nice indeed. Congratz on the award.

I like a lot of the ideas. Work vehicle, big cars i.e. Land Yachts, modern engines in old iron. Hot wheels (I did one of those way back when).

For the required smooth, thin and stable requirements, I would recommend genuine 3M Scotch tape. You can slice it just like you do BMF after applying it. There are some vinyl tapes out there but, I would be concerned with their (excess) thickness and adhesive stability. -
BMF is one of my most favorite tasks. The end results make such a difference. I too, agree that a SHARP NEW blade is key. It is very helpful to have an edge to follow. Scoring before paint or like Steve has taught us, fine line tape as a guide.

Jerry, I am not Steve but this may work for you. I use stainless steel sewing pins. Drill a small hole in the steering column, cut and/or bend the pin to suit for length and angle. Dip the end in gloss black enamel and it will form a nice end naturally.

You have done an excellent job with a timeless classic. I am impressed with the interior detail.

I have been using Duck Duck Go (filter?) with the latest Firefox Browser. I also have uBlock Origin popup blocker. I have been in this configuration for years. I NEVER get pop up ads EVER. Not here, not YouTube not anywhere. I have a short cut on the browser homescreen that takes me directly to Content/Started as my 1st page. I can see if anyone has replied to my posts, I have both notification and messages counts at the top of the page. As a matter of practice, I use right click, 'open new tab' for any threads I want to view. I then view all the tabs one at a time to read and/or post comments without needing to navigate away from my Content/Started page. It permits me to efficiently navigate the forum in short order. Note: YouTube attempted to throw a 5 second delay for any viewer using an adblocker. Consequently, they were flamed for their efforts and the smart software people exposed what they did and shared workarounds. The brouhaha was so loud they dropped the change in 2-3 days. Keep in mind Google owns YouTube and were trying to force everyone to transition to their monopoly. The Europeans frown on such tactics and would have fined them heavily if left intact.

Woah! That is impressive. Where did you get the wheels? Was the darkness of the gold stripes incidental or intentional?

Than you Steve for the WIP pics. I use them for motivation and try to use your techniques to really speed up my learning curve (much less error in the "trial and error" method) I too, snap pics with my phone and transfer them to my PC via direct cable for review and clean up. Much easier with a bigger screen and photo manipulation software. Bill N.

I have obtained and applied some SS stripes to complete my vision for this one. (Thanks Keef!!!) I also added C.I.D. callouts to the blower hat butterflies. NOW, I can call this one DONE!

Very cool. I have never seen one of these.

The model looks pretty good. Your camera seems to struggle with all the light present in your outdoor studio.

That is pretty cool. Nice job with the lights.

Decals in the side windows. Nice touch.

The 1969 Torino can still be had with some searching. I would like to see it back dated to the 1968 version for something slightly different with out a heavy investment -
Smoooooth Custom!
