  1. Jerry, I am not Steve but this may work for you. I use stainless steel sewing pins. Drill a small hole in the steering column, cut and/or bend the pin to suit for length and angle. Dip the end in gloss black enamel and it will form a nice end naturally.
  2. You have done an excellent job with a timeless classic. I am impressed with the interior detail.
  3. I have been using Duck Duck Go (filter?) with the latest Firefox Browser. I also have uBlock Origin popup blocker. I have been in this configuration for years. I NEVER get pop up ads EVER. Not here, not YouTube not anywhere. I have a short cut on the browser homescreen that takes me directly to Content/Started as my 1st page. I can see if anyone has replied to my posts, I have both notification and messages counts at the top of the page. As a matter of practice, I use right click, 'open new tab' for any threads I want to view. I then view all the tabs one at a time to read and/or post comments without needing to navigate away from my Content/Started page. It permits me to efficiently navigate the forum in short order. Note: YouTube attempted to throw a 5 second delay for any viewer using an adblocker. Consequently, they were flamed for their efforts and the smart software people exposed what they did and shared workarounds. The brouhaha was so loud they dropped the change in 2-3 days. Keep in mind Google owns YouTube and were trying to force everyone to transition to their monopoly. The Europeans frown on such tactics and would have fined them heavily if left intact.
  4. Woah! That is impressive. Where did you get the wheels? Was the darkness of the gold stripes incidental or intentional?
  5. Than you Steve for the WIP pics. I use them for motivation and try to use your techniques to really speed up my learning curve (much less error in the "trial and error" method) I too, snap pics with my phone and transfer them to my PC via direct cable for review and clean up. Much easier with a bigger screen and photo manipulation software. Bill N.
  6. I have obtained and applied some SS stripes to complete my vision for this one. (Thanks Keef!!!) I also added C.I.D. callouts to the blower hat butterflies. NOW, I can call this one DONE!
  7. Very cool. I have never seen one of these.
  8. The model looks pretty good. Your camera seems to struggle with all the light present in your outdoor studio.
  9. That is pretty cool. Nice job with the lights.
  10. Decals in the side windows. Nice touch.
  11. Very nicely done! What kits were needed to kitbash this?
  12. Thank you, Doyle. ? Thank you, Ken. ? Thank you, Larry. ? Thank you, Carl. ?
  13. The 1969 Torino can still be had with some searching. I would like to see it back dated to the 1968 version for something slightly different with out a heavy investment
  14. Smoooooth Custom!
  15. Wow! That sounds like a heater disguised as a lamp.
  16. Thank you, Garry. ? Thank you, David. ? Thank you, Bob. They are American Diorama brand. I was on eBay for 3.5 hours looking at them all to find the few that were generic enough for my crew. Thank you, Jeff. Except for the decals and the front track width. I thought it was a decent kit. Nothing put up a fight except the paint job. Thank you, David. ? Thank you, Mario. ? Thank you. Tim. ? Thank you, Tom. The interior color was chosen when the intended car was a dark green Mustang GT. But, it works with blue too. Thank you, EMRE. ?

    56 T-Bird

That T-bird looks SWEET! (as an aside, you may wish to consider some railings for those stairs)
  18. Thank you, Anders. ? Thank you, Steve. ? It was an effort in perseverance. Thank you, Steve. ? The 70 is my favorite.
  19. Nice wheels and paint. I agree with you on the decals. That is why I painted mine.
  20. Thank you, Keith. ? Thank you, Lee. ? Thank you. David. ? Thank you, James. ? Thank you, Michelle. ? They are from American Diorama. I liked them because they are prepainted. The hardest part was sorting though hundreds of figures to find ones dressed like contemporary normal people. Thank you, David. ? When trial fitting the front wheels they stuck out too far without the wheel backs being on. I drilled and shaved down some parts box hubs to make them flush with the tip of the spindle. The thin flange was glued directly to backs of them mags after installing basic rings as the inner rim. Thank you, Gustavo. ?
  21. I have gotten another procrastinated project off the bench. This one took 3 paint jobs to get it acceptable. The chassis and interior were built in advance for another project that changed directions. Overall this is a very nice kit and goes together well. The kit stripes were too lame so I endeavored to paint them which caused me problems to overcome. The only non-stock items are the tires on the kit wheels. I had to perform some "fineness" to tuck the fronts inboard. Comments welcome. Here is the WIP thread:
  22. That is very nice indeed!
  23. That is WAY COOL!
  24. I used bits of one MCC's 70 Chevelle photo etch frets on 4 models so far. 70 Chevelle SS 396 72 Chevelle SS 454 70 El Camino SS ProStreet and the power window switches in my 65 Grand Prix. Future floor polish works great for attaching them.
  25. When my wife guilted me into getting new master bedroom furniture, I got our old dresser as a hand-me-down. It works great to hold most all of my extra modeling supplies and parts boxes. You could probably pick one up from Goodwill.
