  1. I am just now starting 3 C3 builds. (69, 70 and 75) I have 2 of my colors chosen. I have been going round and round on the 3rd. After seeing yours, I am liking the blue. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Following. I built one not to long ago. I too used the AMT 67 GT engine bay in my 68. The kit one was just too lame. I modified some Shelby wheels to suit my needs. I failed at the body colored grille surround, however. Maybe next time.
  3. Good luck with that kit roof. Following.
  4. I have taken to making them myself. Sometimes with boots sometimes not.
  5. Thank you, Dann. ? Thank you, Steve. Here is another pic for you...
  6. Thank you, Dann. ? Thank you, Steve. Here is another pic for you...
  7. I just finished 4 Pontiac motors. All were configured to be 421 Tri-Power. 65 Bonneville, 65 2+2 (Same engine molds) 1965 Grand Prix and a Revell Parts pack in chrome with bell housing but no transmission. Note: I did not detail them as extensively as Steve did.
  8. Jeremy, I'm building the '71. (With a just arrived Hellcat engine)
  9. I have never used oven cleaner. I use Westley's Bleach White for chrome. (I have a car with Raised White Letters) Super Clean lasts for years and will do MULTIPLE bodies. I actually left one body in for 5 months with NO harm. I also use brake fluid when Super Clean is having a struggle. Sometimes back and forth between the two.
  10. I was given a Panavise without the base. I was later given a solid disc of solid stainless steel. I TIG welded a stainless hex bolt to the center. I married the two freebies. I now have a 6-1/2 pound vise that actually HOLDS STILL when working on something. Its portability lets me position it on the bench wherever I need it to be. AND... the kitty cannot run off with whatever is clamped in it. ?
  11. You have to build with one hand tied behind your back.
  12. Very tasty build!
  13. Me too. I have never tipped anything over except my Dixie cup full of sprue lengths.
  14. AMAZING! If I ever find enough real estate to build a scale Truck Stop diorama, I know who to call for paving it!?
  15. That is pretty neat. I have never seen anything like it.
  16. Gary, Sorry for late reply. Here is a link to my Lowboy and Triple Drive builds. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/147188-modified-for-length-amt-lowboy-trailer/#comment-2161677 https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/148169-brbo-2020-triple-drive-white-freightliner-coe/#comment-2176624
  17. Thank you, Mario. ? David, my pleasure. I like solving problems and also sharing solutions. Thank you, Donato. ?
  18. Nice look with the roll pans.
  19. David, It looks correct because I got lucky and had some parts to swap around due to having 3 similar builds going at the same time. The Bonneville kit had a custom bumper/tail panel where the tail panel was good but the bumper was not. The 2+2 kit had the correct bumper but has the wrong stock Bonneville tail panel. You are correct, the 2+2 kit also had the too wide red lenses. I spliced the bumper I wanted, with the tail panel that was correct. I snipped the lenses to fit in the narrower openings then used a scrap piece in the center to act as the center reflector. An ever-so-slightest touch of Molotow framed the reflector. I made a "Pontiac" water slide decal in black (because inkjets do not print chrome) to give the illusion of an emblem.
  20. Thank you, Larry. ? Thank you, Chris. ? Thank you, Carl. Thank you, Keith. I really enjoyed the results as well.
  21. Cool project. I would keep the wheels and tires but go for the big back window as mentioned by David. I imagine your friend would make the change if he learned of it.
  22. I am in! I am going to update Dom's 71 GTX into a high speed, long hauler. I have already hacked in a bigger fuel tank and found an IRS that practically fell into place. I also want a more modern engine for power and fuel mileage. Unfortunately, when I cracked open my sealed AMT 2010 Dodge Challenger... IT DOES NOT HAVE AN ENGINE! After some research. I have a 3D printed Hellcat on the way.
  23. Thank you all for replying. After some research for cost vs. what I would actually get, I went with a 3D printed Supercharged Hellcat engine for $16 off ebay.
  24. Donald, I do. But mostly I love most any Muscle Car with 400 or more cubic inches regardless of who makes it.
  25. I want to kitbash a Gen III HEMI into a build. I opened an AMT 2010 Challenger and was sorely disappointed.?
