    '68 Cutlass

Steve, I used a product suggested by a friend called Croun suede finish over which I airbrushed Testors semigloss black emamel. Unfortunately this product is not available any longer. Thanks for the complement. More progress as soon as life stops getting in the way.

    '68 Cutlass

Thanks guys, that means a lot. More pics to come.
  14. Here are some pics of the '68 Cutlass I've been working on for some time. The kit is a '69 converted to a '68 with Modelhaus parts. The interior has been converted to an automatic. The car will be a representation of the Cutlass from the " Corner Gas" sit com. Comments welcome as always. I hope you like it so far.
  15. This is going to be interesting. Lovin it so far.
  16. I believe the frame is done. Some touch ups on the body and this one can be put to bed! Comments and criticisms welcome.
  17. Nice color choice. Pontiac engine...cool!
  18. For me, passion is the engine that drives a project to completion. I have many boxes of models that , once I figured out how I wished to modify the model to accomplish what I want, if the passion is not there anymore, back in the box it goes until the drive returns. Sometimes it never does. There is a challenge to figuring out how to modify a kit or attempt a new skill , but the interest to complete the project must be there to drive the process to the end. This is how it is for me, it may be different for someone else.
  19. This will be an interesting project to watch. Good luck with the paint Pat. I hope you find a solution. I have a '56 ford truck that had paint issues from years ago. I have put it aside and am waiting to come across a solution to the paint problem. when I do it will be posted on this forum. For me I thins the right clear is the answer , but we will see.
  20. So what kind of 1/4 mile times are you expecting when this truck is done Francis? LOL
  21. Great idea Tom, Thank you for his post. This technique will definitely come in handy!
  22. I hear you Steven, I am in the same boat. I do appreciate the backdrops that some modellers create though. If only there were more time in the day!
