  1. Superb fabrication Sergey! Your attention to details is really out of the ordinary and your truly a master builder! I can't wait to see your next updates. Well done sir!!!
  2. Sorry to be late on your current WIP, but I have to say that so far everything looks great and well crafted Jim! You're truly a good builder and you have good taste my friend! I really like the work you have done on the pneumatic suspension, it's a very good idea and it is simply perfect for this build! Great fabrication sir!!!
  3. Thanks for your kind and encouraging words Glenn! There is no denying it, there is something for everyone in this hobby and you prove it to me with your appreciation for the steering wheel... it was without a doubt the easiest part to make of all this project! As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I try to push myself a little harder with each new build so even if it's a more complex project, I will try to improve many aspects of my build with my Dodge D100 pickup so I hope you'll like it too... Take care, Francis
  4. Welcome to the Roman forum! It's always nice to see what others are building on the old continent, this place cuts the distance between us and that's a very good thing!
  5. Welcome to the Timothy Forum! Your model looks great and I am also a huge fan of drag racing vehicles, you will no doubt find something to chew on and lots of inspiration here!
  6. Superb job Jim, you brought the "out of the box" to another level with your outstanding paint skills! Clean build from bumper to bumper... no bumper...!?! Perfect throughout!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing painting techniques sir!
  7. Superb Chevelle Jared! Very clean and convincing build and I do love the bigger tires and the stance. Well done sir!!!
  8. Very nice Jason charger! I was wondering about the accuracy of this kit but am very impressed with what I see of your build. I do have a couple of the original MPC kit but I would not hesitate to build this one instead since it looks so well detailed. You can be proud of it sir!!!
  9. Very nice job Pat, the International looks like the real deal and very convincing, subtle details like dirt on the tires add to the realism! You can be proud of it my friend!!!
  10. Thanks Keven, I am very honored to see that my GTX has this effect on you! You are more than welcome. Take care, Francis
  11. FANTASTIC work Charles, looks like a 1:1 car! I noticed that many parts including the water pump housing, alternator bracket and the power steering support were made with brass in the previous photo but now look like aluminum. Have you redone them with aluminum or just painted or plated them, I'm just curious?
  12. Thanks again Keith, your comments mean a lot to me! I am also a big fan of rock music, but I never raced while listening to music... I think it's a shame to cover the sound of a good big American V8 because it produces the most beautiful music! Take care, Francis Thanks for the vote of confidence Claude! However, I will try to limit the detailing to parts a little bit bigger than my smallest end mills but functional dome light door jamb switches would be cool by the way... LOL. Can't wait to see you my friend, take care, Francis
  13. Thanks for the kind words Keith! Functional radio buttons would be a good idea, but I planned a radio delete plate instead, it's a drag racing machine after all...LOL. Thank you for stopping by and for commenting, I really appreciate it! Take care, Francis
  14. Thanks Keven! I'm not done yet with this build so your demand will be fulfilled... but maybe not at the pace you might want... things running slow during summer. Still some updates to come however. Take care, Francis
  15. Thanks for the kind words Keven, it was really fun to build and I'm glad to see that you like it! Take care, Francis
  16. Thanks for the kind words Bob! I find a lot of inspiration everywhere on this forum and Tim's work is no exception of course. This construction always brings me a little further in the details and I don't think I could build differently in the future! I'll see, it's not over yet... Take care, Francis
  17. Very cool and clean construction Donn, the paint job looks smooth like glass! It's amazing how these old funny cars were built by today's standards. My favorite era of drag racing!
  18. This is absolutely FANTASTIC Randy! You probably have the best ability to make model parts so real! I will certainly follow your build, it's just a great way to keep me fully motivated... I love your work sir!!!
  19. If you dropped out with the decals, I'm 100% sure they were unusable, you're not one to quit easily... and I know what I'm talking about... Nice job so far Pat!
  20. Beatiful and impressive work Dan! These transporter look sturdy and all the work on hydraulic lines is very convincing. Well done sir!!!
  21. Thanks for your comment Joe! Take care, Francis Thanks Tim! I'm also excited about the potential result of that product. Maybe it will be a good way to add some color contrast to some parts without having to paint them. Take care, Francis Thanks Dave, I'm glad if you like it and feel entertained, I also really love to see what Tim is doing! Take care, Francis Thanks Randy! I'm very honored to get your comments on my build, you're truly a master builder and a big source of inspiration! Take care, Francis Thanks for the kind words Daniel! It was fun to find a second life for that small drive gear. A new territory for me and good experience for my next builds! Take care, Francis
  22. That was a lot of work but it was worth it Tim! These carbs are spectacular, can't wait to see them with all the details added on the big BOSS engine.
  23. Thanks Glenn! Take care, Francis Thanks for the kind words Kerry! Please, don't give me the idea of getting involved in the manufacturing of tools at 1/25 scale, I already have enough work to make all these parts... lol. Take care, Francis
  24. Hello everyone! As expected, things have been going more slowly lately (as if it could be ...) but I found a little time on the bench during the rare rainy days or when the very hot and humid days were an invitation to take refuge in the basement. It's one of the hottest summer I've seen so far and it's far from over... After making the flywheel using a watch gear, I had the idea of making a starter a little more detailed than the ones I used to do. I had kept the tiny gear that was in contact with the big one, so I had a good idea (please read this as sarcasm) to use it to make the pinion bendix. By the way, I ordered a bottle of Birchwood Casey Brass Black, so I will possibly try to blacken the flyeheel teeth even if it is already taken in sandwich between the 2 aluminum parts. I do not know this product so if an expert knows that I should not dip aluminum in this product, your advice would be very appreciated... Here is where I am with this starter, I may try to anodize in black the motor frame in order to add a little color contrast. Comments and suggestions are welcome! Take care, Francis Starter drive end housing in progress. Starter mounting flange in progress. The bolts pattern match with the bellhousing as well. Starter parts including a brass selenoid. Starter temporaly assembled for test fit purpose. The starter Bendix pinion spin and slide freely on the shaft (even if it is useless...?).
  25. Great job on the carburetors Tim, another piece of the puzzle done, you can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
