I recieved this kit as a present from my wife a while back. The darn flip hood needs a lot of work to fit tight to the body without gaps. I failed in my attempt so like another forum member did I decided to cut off the hood from the fenders. I then grafted the fenders to the body and that went well. But now the hood after cutting it off doesn't sit on the fenders without falling off. Frustration has set in so now I'm trying to decide if I want to do it as a curb side, or drag car without the hood on. Good luck with the build James.

Good you got the handle, I just think it really compliments it making it easier to hold and control.

I have the PS-275 (#3) tip and love it tho the 290 with the #5 tip would probably be more what I need. Love the trigger action and ease of cleaning. Did you put the Iwata handle on it?? Makes it more like a regular paint gun and gives better control IMO.

My process lately at least for applying the Future is a few light coats drying in front of my small space heater between coats then a couple heavier coats drying a few minutes in front of the heater to set then running a hair dryer over it for a couple minutes. Lastly heavier wet coats drying with the heater and hair dryer until I'm satisfied with the gloss. Process takes maybe a hour. I find using the hair dryer levels it eliminating the orange peel for the most part.
