  1. Hey there Jim. Ha, glad we "woke" you up? Came out very cool, great job?? Mines' waiting in the box. I'm thinking I want to do what you did with the hood but just a bit reluctant for fear of messing it up.
  2. Hey Jim....the quoted post appears to be the last from you. Whats going on with this neat build??
  3. Looks great Dave. I just got one to build.
  4. Thanks James...I'm surprised you got that much gloss from the Createx.
  5. Hey there James...been away from the forum a few days on an Anniversary trip. The green layed on there nicely. I will still use the Rusto Acrylic Lacquer clear but clearly (ha, no pun intended) the actual Laquer will not work. Let us know how the Createx clear works out. When I used it it's just not very glossy.
  6. Darn cool old Merc Rooster?
  7. Pretty amazing considering the rush to build it. I have never seen wheels like that tho. Good work Shawn.
  8. Very nice Cougar Steve. Great job?
  9. Very nice Mercury Thomas. Man theres a lot of legroom in the back seat area?
  10. Well no deer sighting today. Every day for several days now a large herd would be up on the hill thats across the street from my house. A year or so ago a well known country singer bought a large piece of property for him and his buddies for hunting and part of it is the hill. This morning at around 6 it sounded like a war was in progress. So many people were shooting it almost sounded like an automatic weapon was going off. I guess what deer survived the slaughter have run off.
  11. Well I'm no hunter and I have my thoughts about it. I too enjoy looking at wildlife and a big animal lover. Thanks for the comments and other pics!!
  12. Wasn't expecting this many comments on my pictures. By the way, I don't know about other areas but shooting a white deer is illegal here in Tennessee. A few more pics for antone interested. This answers the question if the other deers shun a white one... Close up taken by a friend of my Daughter. All other pics were taken by my Daughter from our porch. Our Turkey flock. Sometimes there are 15-20 out there at once.
  13. For a bit over 3 years this pure white Deer makes an apprarance in our area. She was just a doe when we first saw her. The pictures were taken by my Daughter from our front porch.
  14. They do make a clear but at best it dries to a satin finish.
  15. It seems to me the different types of Createx react differently to the Rusto Clears. As you showed, there was no problem with that Mustang. That clear you used as you know is a true lacquer whereas the one I have been using is the Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer. But I too had an issue with the Acrylic one.
  16. Well James, I had the same problem over the Pearl Createx with the Rusto Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer. Is the Acrylic Lacquer the clear you used or actual Rusto Lacquer clear?
  17. Well Mitchy, that is a stunner and those pictures are super!!
  18. Sure, will do Jim.
  19. I can still get a picture of it, it's in the storage building here at my house.
  20. Cool project. I owned a 1:1 '73 myself. Far as I know there was only 1 '73 Coupe model kit ever built.
  21. Appears orders will be delayed a while. Joe was in a pretty bad accident but said he's doing OK. Talks about it on his website.
  22. We still have it and it has the cabinet too but all in pieces. Will probably never get put together and restored. I will check with my daughter what film it was.
  23. A few years ago my wife had an old Singer somewhat newer than yours Jim. Interesting how the person who gave it to her got it. He is a friend of our daughters and works in the film industry. It was a prop in a well known movie but I don't remember which one.
  24. Very cool Craig?
