Finally got it done. OOB build except for the wheels, hood. added side windows and exhaust pipes. Createx paint, Rusto Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer. In spite of a number of paint and clear issues and of course the terrible new BMF not too bad of an outcome. I would have liked the body to be sitting lower over the tires but oh well. Thanks for looking.

The paint is very smooth as far as I can tell so I don't understand the need to strip the paint off. I would rough up the paint with a not too heavy grit sanding and top coat it again....but thats just me.

Welcome Derek. I lived almost 8 years in Honolulu as a kid, actually starting school there and another time graduating from Rosevelt H.S. in 1964 (yes I'm old). I reconnected with a high school buddy there a few years ago but he passed away un-expectedly a couple years ago.
