Finally finished this one up the other day, started in June last year! I originally painted it yellow, but the last coat reacted badly to the first layers I laid on months before. Nice kit though, with only a couple of fit issues. I also messed up when painting the wheel centres and ended up stripping them, but it also took the chrome off and looked awful in chrome paint, so that was that! I didn't really like the wheels in the kit anyway so I went for some black Torq Thrusts which look 'mwa' (chef's kiss)!

Has anyone tried this in their 70's?

I have astigmatism in my left eye which isn't great for detail work, but makes my models look like they're going fast on the shelf! -
Done. It's only taken half a year, Lol! Finished up last night but was too dark and wet for outside pics. Here's one for now until the weather improves and I can post in Underglass. Thanks for following along guys, and thanks for the colour suggestions after the paint failed, haha! On to the next.

Beautiful looking gassers there. Love the pick up with the 56'!

Loving these Bonnie builds! Nice colour choice on this.?

Yes, masking tape would definitely lift them. I had an idea but wasn't until I assembled most of the car. Lacquer the whole car with the decals on, then mask around them and rub the lacquer with 5000 grit to remove the shine.

Nice work. I love these mid 60's Bonnies, beautiful styling!

Got quite a bit done today. Interior in, fitted the glass, bumpers fitted, and got some foil work done. I'm glad the yellow paint failed, this looks sooo much nicer!?

Thanks mate. The predicament I have is they look matt on the real car so I can't lacquer over them like I usually do. Extra care is needed handling this one!

Turned out great! I remember this in WIP a while back. Paint looks glass smooth! Very nice.

Beautiful looking build. Very nice detail on the interior!

Super nice looking Torino. I love the orange with those graphics.

Nice clean detail around the grille. Lovely colour too.

Is that a chicken bone in his hand? xD

Nice save. Certainly looks the part with those wheels and paint. Lovely job!

Beautiful work.

Very nice colour, I really like this kit. I built one not long ago, and like you I was torn between hard top or convertible. I chose the convertible option in the end, though I did paint up and detail the roof.

A REALLY rear engine Corvair - unsafe at any depth!

I love it! Looks like something that would have actually been produced! -

Man, that's looking good! I've been meaning to get this kit for a while now. -

Yes, much nicer than the yellow.

Nice colour choice. Lovely looking blue. In the UK we had the Vauxhall Chevette, also a GM product. Looks almost identical to the Chevy.

Yes, paint always seems to look nicer after a failed first attempt I find. I think I'll try a Scotch pad instead of primer on my next build. If my paint looks better, that'll be the way I go from now on. It'll save me a buck or two on primer as well! Lol
