  1. My son recently finished this '57 Christine Fury. He wanted to do his own thing with it, so he painted it blue and added the continental kit from my spares tin that came with the '62 Buick Electra I recently built but never used. He did have a hard time with the suspension, parts got broken and repaired with copious amounts of glue! so I came to the rescue there, but what you see is basically all his doing.
  2. How about the 1979 Muppets movie Studebaker and Citroen Mehari? xD
  3. Stunning colour. I've built this kit too and it's a pleasure to work with, it just falls together.
  4. Thank, man.The wheels finish it off perfectly, I'm well pleased with it:)
  5. Thanks, Steve.
  6. It is a nice kit, no issues so far apart from the hood needed a little shaving on the sides as they were rubbing on the wings, paint thickness would definitely give fit issues if I left it. The kit only comes with one engine, though I have heard this kit originally came with a ton of extra stuff back when it was released in 1962.
  7. Nice. My finger has been hovering over the buy it button on ebay for the station wagon gasser!
  8. Thanks, Jouko, and Tom.
  9. I look forward to your updates on the '57, the reason I got this is from watching your build! This one is the early, less detailed version cos I couldn't find any of the newer releases here in the UK.
  10. I don't know why it happens. It's the same primer, same brand of paints but sometimes it just happens, it's weird. I should have taken a picture of it before I sanded the hood, it looked like microscopic dimpled vinyl. Would have looked good on the seats! Lol
  11. That's stunning, I love the General too. If that was my garage, I would be a very, very happy man! Beautiful colour, and those wheels are just spot on, very nicely done:)
  12. Had some paint reaction on the hood but nothing too bad. Not sure why, I think I went a bit too heavy on the first coat.
  13. Another project on the table, the '57 Bel Air by AMT. There's probably a million of these on the forum! This is the older release with solid axles and very low parts count, which I actually prefer, so this build isn't going to take too long. Nothing special in regards to paint on this one, just basic flame red with a white roof.
  14. Thanks, guys.
  15. I like that! Looks similar colour combo to my '62 Electra.
  16. Nice neat work on the front! Very deep red, I like it.
  17. Very nice. I'll have to get me one of these.
  18. Looks great! The dog is looking ready to ride shotgun.
  19. Yeah, he kind of give up around the mid 70's. It's a shame, he could have been huge but it just didn't happen. I know his hearing was suffering as result of his concerts."You know what I mean" is great tune! "Didn't know what I had" is one I hear on the old radio airchecks a lot, WABC liked to play his songs quite often.
  20. Enjoy:) He and Frosty (the drummer) opened for Led Zeppelin in the 70's and they blew the crowd away, they were calling them to come back on during the concert apparently.
  21. Yes, almost identical to Hallogallo! I think it's got to the point in music that no matter what tune an artist comes up with it's going to sound like something that has already been done.
