  1. Wondering if these things exist as model kits? I've always loved these larger versions of the more common pick-up cabs. I think the cabs were the same as the regular ones but with larger front clips. They're so cool looking but seem to not be very popular over there, most videos I see of them on YT are of them being cut up, and most look solid. They're beautiful looking rigs I think.
  2. I bought a can the other month, haven't used it yet but from the pics and various videos I've seen it looks amazing. Dang expensive though! The true test will be if it holds up to fingerprints and stays chrome, and not turn grey after a week! If it does, then it's no better than most other chrome paints out there. I've tried many and some look like straight up chrome.... for a day or two!
  3. AdGuard AdBlocker. I downloaded it the other week to replace an old one that didn't work against YouTubes new restrictions on Ad blockers. Works great at the moment but for how long is anyones guess. I use Opera but should work for any browser.
  4. Very nice. Smooth paint, lovely shine to it.? Love these old boats.
  5. Molly Hatchet - Flirting with Disaster. Bob Segar - Ramblin' Gamblin Man
  6. I don't believe in ghosts but I've had my fair share of experiencing weird things in my time. The strangest one I will always remember was when I was about 14 years old. The housing estate we lived on was right next to a forest. We played in there for years, building cabins, tree houses, BMX tracks, chasing animals, a typical 80's childhood. There was a stream running near a path we often walked to get to our 'den' . One day walking along the path I went down to the stream to get some water, as I was filling up the bottle I heard this horrendously loud sound right across from me, very demonic sounding like a long drawn out 'saaahh' like when the dentist tells you to say 'aahh' but in an unnaturally deep tone, that's the best way I can explain how it sounded. Naturally I cra*ped myself on hearing it and ran like I never run before! I told my friends what I heard and they kind of laughed it off, but one of my friends was so taken by what I told them he wanted me to show him where this happened but I flat out refused to ever go near there again. About a year or two later me and him were walking through the woods near where I heard it. He mentioned to me 'Is this where you heard that weird voice?' I kind of laughed and said yes. Being a little older and braver, and me thinking maybe it didn't happen or I remembered it wrong we walked down to the stream. As I was pointing to him where abouts I heard it, right at that moment the exact same demonic tone rumbled from across the stream "saaahh' We shot up the embankment like lighting, I remember the hairs on my arms standing on end and feeling white cold hearing it again, it was so clear. Being so shaken and excited by what we heard we couldn't get our words out properly we kept talking over each other. My friend's eyes were wide open, he was buzzing with fear afterward saying 'Yep, I believe you now' lol. I've never been back there and still today I try convincing myself it was something natural, maybe a tree root getting tugged under the ground from a tree blowing in the wind? Sound traveling from machinery maybe? I don't know. Unless you heard what we heard this will just sound like another ghost story, but I will say, it's impossible for me to comfortably say it was a natural sound, and the reaction my friend had too when he heard it just tells me... you may not believe in things that go bump in the night, but it's wise to keep an open mind.
  7. I haven't even got hold of the '68 convertible yet and already there's talk of a hardtop! R2 been knocking it out of the park these last couple of years.
  8. Beautiful! I love this kit, and the car. Very nice work.?
  9. Nice. These 1/16 scale builds look fun. Unusual to see the word 'Remove' stamped on the body. Do they want you to throw the doors away? lol
  10. Nice work on the bumper. Good looking mock up, I like the stance.
  11. I've seen pics of the F&F charger and it looks like a toy.. the '70 front grille/bumper looks like a Lego piece! I do wonder if the original annual '70 grille still survives as it was the last of the annuals before it became the Richard Brooks (or Bobby Issac Nascar) not sure which came first.. that tooling pretty much doomed the original annuals to what it is now, a patched up worn out mess that makes model builders gasp in horror when someone says "Country Charger" lol
  12. I agree. The snap kit, though not perfect, is a huge improvement over the Country Charger. Some minor tweaks would have it back to the quality of the annual body. Reproduce the custom parts, which I think are super cool especially the revolving headlights and one piece rear light, and R2 would have a fun and simple alternative to the Revell offerings. I love the Revell Charger but I need my 'serious face' on when building those cos they're so detailed, a simple version with those unique custom parts would be loads of fun to build.
  13. Pretty mean looking ride with those fatties on the back. Lovely colour too Nice, I'd raise the rear a little though.. Some scratch built shackles for the leaf springs.
  14. Nice. The blackwash really highlights the detail on that blower. ? I'm liking the coffee stirrer decking.
  15. Thanks, David. Yes, lots of foiling to do! I think the only other kit I've done that required so much foiling was the '58 Edsel.
  16. Beautiful looking Ford. Those wide whitewalls absolutely make it!
  17. Nice clean build. Love the red stripe against the white paint, very smart. I really like those wheels?
  18. Yes, colour looks perfect. That heavy metal flake is straight out of the 70's. Very nice.
  19. Looking good. Scribe lines for the back doors look good?
  20. I started this over a year ago. Time to get back at it! I've got as far as paint and some foiling but no further. Decided to go stock with a classic red and white paint scheme. Tailgate is glued shut cos the hinges were stupidly weak and didn't hinge properly anyway, but looks a nice kit and comes with a choice of two engines, always a plus in my book.?
  21. I think the original annual hood is long gone after it was modified from the '69 to the '70. I have an original '68 and '69 hood, and the Charger 500 hood, and they are very different, although they do fit either car. The 500 hood has engravings for an intake cutout and doesn't have as much of a 'peak' at the front. I think the hood in the current Country Charger is used because it fits better over the grille than the 500 would. I don't hold out much hope for seeing the custom parts making a comeback cos the sprues have been heavily modified, note in the pic below the anti roll bar on the annual has been turned into a sprue on the Charger 500 kit!
  22. The AMT '71 Charger has the same issue. I had to shave the edge of the hood almost paper thin. Anyway, your build is coming on nicely. I like the interior detail.?
  23. I've wanted a proper ambulance version of this kit since I bought the Ecto 1A in the 90's, I specifically bought it for that reason but it just ended up looking like the Ghostbusters ride in the wrong colour combo and everything missing! lol. I'm quite looking forward to this one to be honest.
  24. Beautiful, absolutely stunning!
  25. Box art builds look so cool. Very nice job. I don't think I've ever built a box art version of anything cos the temptation to do your own thing is quite strong! lol
