My first car was a full orange Maverick Grabber. By full orange, I mean the exterior (except for the white grabber stripe and logo) and the entire interior...all orange. In case you were stuck for a paint scheme...one color does it all.

Ok. Finally decided on a kit. Went with the option of detailing a kit rather than doing a lot of mods in hopes of actually finishing this one. I'll be going with the 1964 Corvette Grand sport this go round.

I'm in...what to build...I have a couple ideas but not sure which one I am going with yet. Will settle on one pretty quick and post it.

I'm good with this. Maybe by limiting any crazy ideas of an engine swap I will actually finish this time.......maybe

I read it to mean that any car model year 1975 or older with any engine from any care also from 1975 or older. I don't think they meant the car had to be a 74 or earlier model but not the components.

Congratulation on the great build to all the finishers. I may eventually get one of these done..always seem to bomb out in the end. HA.

Oh man!! Snuck up on me again. With most of my building stuff packed for a move I may have to get creative to get done.

My simple contribution

Munster's house would be a great addition. It seems to be really hard to find for less than an appendage. I did take a generic house and turned it into the Michael Myers house. I'll have to see if I have any pictures.

I like the steelies better personally, gives it more of a racing stance vs. a cruising the neighborhood stance. Just my thoughts.

Used Rustoleum automotive clear coat over brush painted craft paint, just to see how it would turn out.

I've used clear plastic pencil pouches. You can get them pretty much anywhere that sells office supplies and sometimes they come in different colors. Works great for tinted windows.

Have a small board like that I use for leatherworking. Never thought about using it on the model desk. Going to have to try it out.

Rear suspension do over complete.

So much detail!! With the outstanding job you did on the weathering you almost overlook all the work that went into opening the doors and trunk, adding the interior door panel and detail under the trunk lid. That alone looks great. Then the weathering just takes it up several notches. I especially like the work on the vinyl top and seats.

That color looks awesome!! Hope the clear works out for you.

Decided at the last minute to change the wheels and tires. Which means redoing the rear suspension. I think I am just avoiding dealing with the little super glue blob I got on the roof. Still not sure how I want to deal with that. I ended up using the SVT cobra rear end (or at least most of it) and exhaust.

With the price of gas right now, that kit, including the trip, would have cost me about $40

Those are really cool. Just looked at the site and downloaded a couple. You did a great job on them, especially after looking a few over and the very small detail in involved.

Ah. Ha! Well that makes sense. Maybe I'll read the little bottle next time.

The only issue I have with embossing powder is that it tends to have a glossy and sometimes metallic appearance. Maybe putting some dull coat on top might change that...hmmm something to try.

This is looking awesome!! That chain though...... not thanks. I gave up on several armor kits that wanted me to assemble the individual track links. You have way more patience than I do!! Awesome work.

Didn't even know what if aircraft was a thing. Heck, I wouldn't have even known this was never a real production plane.

I will definitely be following this one. I have wanted to build a bike for a while but just haven't.
