  1. Managed to finally get the base color on.
  2. Here's a fun one- Small wire ties sold as "1/6 scale" flex cuffs.
  3. Congratulations!! Looks great. Hoping to get mine completed just as soon as my available time lines up with weather I can paint in.
  4. Goes to show that any problem can be solved with a bottle of Sambuca and a bunch of AA batteries. ?
  5. My little bit of progress for the weekend.
  6. Cougar and funny car for me out of this group. Been waiting for that Cougar for a while.
  7. May still have these in the decal stash. I know I didn't use them on the build. I'll take a look tonight and let you know.
  8. That looks awesome. Great job on the metal finishes and the exhaust coloring.
  9. Very nice. I like seeing other scales. Yours looks great.
  10. Very minimum, I'll put clear drying glue over the top of them. If I'm in the mood to be more detailed, drill them out or at least deeper, then if no aftermarket lenses are available I make my own out of clear plastic. I am lucky enough to have some hand tools for setting domed rivets in leather. I use that to dome out the plastic and there was a thread on here somehwere about how to add the texture or lines to make them look more realistic. Only ever done this on round headlights.
  11. Looking over the list again. This is going to be an awesome year. Lots of variety and some really cool builds going on. I love seeing all the different takes people have on their builds.
  12. There aren't a lot of HD kits out there. The ones that are tend to be pretty spendy (at least to me). There is a facebook group dedicated to scale motorcycle modeling that I follow that is pretty good. I haven't jumped into the motorcycle building myself yet but have thought about it a lot. Tryin to find something that isn't a race bike, trike or chopper has been a challenge.
  13. I think you are going to need more tires.....?
  14. Tried to add detail to the underside of the trunk lid, and add trunk hinges. Turned into a mess so I undid it all. Tried to drill out the gauge faces on the dash. Was off on one so one is lower than the rest. Luckily had another dash that will work. Overall it was a 1 step forward 4 step back couple of days.
  15. Don't you dare repaint that engine unless you use the same color scheme. It's classic.
  16. Great job. Have this one sitting in my pending builds. Yours looks awesome.
  17. The green brake disks are my favorite!
  18. Looking awesome!!
  19. Doing the same. Are you going to hinge it the standard way (with the bent wire)? I have been trying to come up with a plan for hinges.
  20. Hooray. Rear suspension is now a thing. Dropped and broken into pieces twice but it's pretty much done now. Now on to the front.
  21. Looks Awesome!! one note - That reflective material in your photo setup casts a weird reflection on your model. But the model itself is great.
  22. It's trunk lid underside detail day. Also made progress with scratch building some rear suspension. Modeling it on the Shelby GT 350R suspension so it's age and make correct for the 66 hardtop. Kind looks like something from star wars.
  23. Up here I'm the Memphis area we are supposed to get down to less than zero with the wind chill.
