I have wasted so much on gel pens over the years. They just don't function. Nothing I do can get them to leave a mark, be it on plastic, or paper. The silver Sharpie markers are ink, not paint. I find them to not cover well. Very translucent. For chrome, nothing seems to top the Molotow Chrome pen. The fine point paint marker shown at the top looks interesting.

Woh! The yellow one- they expected actual humans to fit in that?! Imagine getting hit in that? They would have to go looking for your remains! The late model Abarth looks like it would be a hoot to drive! A little buzz bomb!

Almost accurate. Turns out it was Monogram, not Aurora. Shame it was 1/32, but that was quite typical back in the day for sports cars.

IIRC, I think I may have had a model kit of this when I was quite young. I am guessing a 1/32 scale Aurora kit. The taillights are what I seem to remember on a dark blue box art. Foggy imagination, or real? Meantime, I'll go poke around on Google.

I love the '59 Caddy, my favorite car. You did it justice. You correctly painted around the headlight trim, often missed by others. And the steelies are a nice touch, with a vintage feel.

Virtual puzzles! Now I see! I was thinking real puzzles, which I build often. I have built about 20 or so 1000 pc. puzzles, but risk gaining a collection. I don't have room enough for model kit collections, much less puzzles. That's why doing them virtually is great. Thanks!

Exactly. That lack of inner fender made it a mess. But then again, so many other cars had their faults, not just Chrysler. I remember there was a lot of Aspens & Volarie's on the road. And now, almost none. Can't remember the last time I saw one go by.

I used to work at a Chrysler dealer auto body shop. Spent a good deal of my time doing warranty fender replacements on Aspens and Volaries. Rust city.

Built one years ago (sorry, don't recall which) I had to fabricate a bracket for the rear bumper to mount it to the body. Top of bracket fit the inside of trunk lid.

Box is designed as they were, back in our youth. Which is the way I like it. And it seems to be working for them. Edit: Notice the link you shared, doesn't show the sides of the box. Yet iirc, it does indeed share most, if not all the "little painted pictures up like on side of box." Which you then decry that they "need to do things a different way." So, which is it? You want the box like it was, with the "little pics", or do you want it done "a different way"?

This is the basic Crosley. IMHO.

I appreciate Chad's/Round2's videos. I'm not looking for, nor expecting a Hollywood quality production. This one was lacking any real news for us automotive builders, although James does point out that last months video does mention two kits possibly due for the shelves soon. Not every month is going to be a jackpot for us, and I accept that. Considering that many of us builders are not getting any younger, I am amazed that this part of our hobby can sustain itself at all.

Perhaps consider building a Speedster, with a cut down windscreen. Google one for a photo reference.
