  1. Another Q for Dave M; will the next Hudson (PLEASE!) have those awesome wire wheels & wide whites? They make all the difference! Thanks!
  2. Thank you Moebius for the Chevy II's! My first car was a '63 Nova, and to me, the '64 is close enough! After all these decades, I wouldn't be able to nit pic even if I wanted to.
  3. Please be a Maytag! Please! Please! Please!
  4. Wondering if they have their finger on the pulse of common sense. How would one go about opening the hood on this?
  5. This is the one that trips my trigger! A 914 GT2 in the "hippy" paint scheme! Thanks JC for sharing.
  6. I always said "OneOne scale".
  7. 1974 Chevy Camaro with IMSA panels made from card stock. I was in my early twenties when I built it. Hand painted graphics. Wish I still had it.
  8. Awesome, ambitious project! So I had to try a Google search*, and I found picks. *1986 Buick LeSabre Estate Wagon However, you would need to look over the pics, as things like year or model tend to get mixed up on Google. These are just a few: (Only allowed 2 pics per post???)
  9. Aw, now I'm sad. Had both the IMAI Bugs in my stash, but had to go. Are they the only "curved glass" Beetles in 1/24- 1/25 available?
  10. Does Madza have a design center in California? I just cannot picture that car being designed in the Orient. Their designs are usually full of folds, creases, scoops, and airfoils. Or maybe that's the American design way? I dunno.
  11. James, I hear ya. But that actually bolsters my comment- the casual hobbyist, walks in to a hobby shop. Sees AMT kits for $31.95, and... that's not exactly a selling point to bring in that casual hobbyist. Plus, he just may be wise enough to turn that box over, and see that parts layout. Possible.... just may recognize it's the same kit he had way back when. That may sell the kit. Or, that may make him put it back. Like anything in life, for many of us, price wins. In my life, I have put stuff back on the shelf due to price. And I don't mean just in hobby shops. At what point does it all become too much? Me, I have enough stash. I will never get to build them all. I hope you guys can buy them. Hate to see them fail. Of course, we're not getting any younger here, either.
  12. The front grill seems like it's having an identity crisis. Might look better if they just stuck with a reshaped '50 Ford nose. The early half of the blend is the body itself. The later half of the blend is what makes the deal. To that idea, I would use a chopped down windscreen from a '50 Ford. Overall, a great idea.
  13. It's like sculpture. Long and low. Great design.
  14. So they want to run the $30.+ flag up the pole now? For old tooling kits, that have been paid for long ago? Nope. I cannot do that anymore. I have enough kits, and there is no way on earth they can convince me they can justify $30.+ for these. I just cannot afford that. They really should reconsider that pricing. JMHO.
  15. Round2 has never done a good job of keeping their internet stuff up to their competition's standards.
  16. Awesome, Jim! I can barely remember this morning, but those sure triggered some long lost memories!
  17. How on earth is todays kids suppose to relate to a "Hippie Hemi"? I can't help to wonder if Round2 is just happy if they can keep pushing these kits out the door... the heck with surveys and such. If they sold the last batch, they think they can sell the next batch. They sell Star Wars kits; and kit the new Camaro. They must be happy. I wonder what their operating budget allows for tool development?
  18. Pantera! So shiny, like it was dipped in blue!
  19. Fat meats, and traction bars! That's how I remember those days!
  20. Was there ever this earlier body available in a kit? I had a lot of fun with that rig.
  21. I can only speak for myself, but the best building tool / supply I have, is a LED magnifying desk lamp. The eye stress of working without it made it necessary to buy. Glad I did.
