  1. I don't think most companies want to reveal what they are capable of producing- model, or otherwise. Why tip your hand to potential competitors? Our hobby is no different.
  2. Good looking build. I like the flares, as it seems like a tip of the hat to the IMSA series. I would like to know how they came up with the "hellaflush" tag?
  3. Anyone with Tamiya spray cans know why I am getting air bubbles on the edges? This has happened to me twice.
  4. Big THANK YOU going out to Mike Kucaba! Sent me three "Fine" 3M foam sanding pads. They will be useful for body work. No go for paint, as they seem to have a coarse texture of what I would call about a 180 grit. I may glue different grit paper on a section, then cut some 1" squares out. Thanks for the gift, Mike. Much appreciated.
  5. Yeah, I would be proud of that one, too! Two thumbs up.
  6. <-- Has a '40 Ford, red chassis. No blue mufflers, tho.
  7. Pete, you are correct, I suspect. Probably acid core. Thanks for the heads up.
  8. Actually, the entire body is bowed. Not as obvious as the bowed side trim. The roof is lacking in curve as it sweeps from the windshield, to the rear quarter. Still better than nothing.
  9. Don't use Rosin Core. I found out the hard way.
  10. Nice lookin' Belvedere!
  11. Flintstone Resins. Someone will have more on that, I'm sure
  12. What on earth are you talking about? I "dragged this from the dead" because I saw the title "'50s cars that we'd hope that the manufacturers would offer", and I had something to offer! And THAT... got yer pants in a twist? I don't scan the whole post to see if there is any lingerin' butthurt. Nor should I have to. "Lighten' up, Francis!" -Stripes
  13. You may have to try diff. worded Google searches. So much of what little there is out there has been modded. http://www.lowrider.com/rides/cars/1202-lrmp-1947-chevrolet-fleetline-aerosedan/
  14. The Cadillac Saber Spoke wheels, they have them listed for diff. years, but I don't see a year in the photo. So I ordered 1958 Shallow Spoke. Any idea if the '57, '58, and '59 Caddy Saber wheels are the same? Also, for quantity of wheels, does "1" mean one set (pair)?
  15. Can anyone tell me if they have replacement front & rear bumpers, grille, and taillights for a '60 El Camino?
  16. I keep thinking about a '51 Merc. Just seems like a natural. We have two '49 coupes, so either the AMT, or the Revell kit could be converted. So the question is, do you think they will ever do it?
  17. Must agree, needs foil trim. I see lots of sixties vintage cars in primer, but rarely do they not still have exposed stainless trim. Spike Lee called. Said "Do The Right Thing."
  18. Well, that would explain why I found several photos of green engines in my Edsel engine photo search.
  19. Thank you all! Well, at least I can still use it to line my spray booth. If I had a place to use it, and a compressor. That's the down side of moving.
  20. The Grey Ghost reminds me of this beast. A build of either would be great.
  21. Add a few drops of white into a bottle of Testors Yellow.
  22. Want to build a REALLY different Edsel?
  23. Reference pics. All years Hudson: http://s1245.photobucket.com/user/JonCole56/library/1-1 HUDSON?sort=3&page=1 http://public.fotki.com/JCole/11-Hudson/
