  1. The Manx is one of the few kits I can still remember having as a kid. As I recall, it was molded in yellow plastic like the boxart version. Gotta have one again!
  2. I agree w/ Chuck... I could live with the soft details. But not with the soft detail, and high price. Especially when their competition is beating them hands down with better detail, more accuracy, and lower price.
  3. I don't expect to see any of these on a clearance rack. As example, my local LHS will order this kit, but they won't bother to stock it otherwise, due to the cost. Even hobby shops need to draw the line somewhere.
  4. 1.- 1964 Corvair Rampside truck 2.- 1964 Corvair Spyder 3.- 1960 Cadillac Coupe De Ville 4.- 1948 Tucker Torpedo 5.- Cobra Daytona Coupe
  5. Bob Turner, you're an idiot. Go away. You now have 22 posts, and you have yet to contribute anything worthwhile but your viral hate and tripe. Time for Bob to be banned.
  6. Agree w/ Skip, this needs to be pinned.
  7. A few decades ago (yes I am old) when I owned my own welding setup, I was in the supply store having a tank refilled. There was a newspaper clipping under the glass on the countertop, showed a pic of a car blown to bits, much like the one in the op. The accompanying article said the bottle developed a slow leak, investigators believe the clock in the dash set it off. It doesn't take much.
  8. Just amazing stuff, Curt! Thank you for showing that!
  9. Don't make it any less funny. Comedy... it's not supposed to be pretty. Edit: I was going to add 'What does this have to do with cars?', but that line "Take the wheel"... lame connection.
  10. Back up. Add light. If needed, crop photo.
  11. Just saw this on cable news. Obviously doing this in an area that is populated. Maybe they should shoot out to the ocean, rather than inland.
  12. Yes. Shockwave. If it has enough force to blow off welded on panels, it will certainly set off airbags. I have seen photos of other cars this has happened to. Dude is VERY lucky to be alive!
  13. I suspect there will be more. The tooling exists, and I doubt that Moebius is under any legal obligation to never again produce another Nascar themed Hudson kit. Their next run may well be of another driver. The current Model King run may be sold out, that may be split between store inventory as well as retail buyer. Still may be available on store shelves, as well as contest vendor cases.
  14. I voted model, because I have a 50/50 chance of being correct.
  15. As long as the PA speaker is way up front, just behind the grill. Close enough for a tire iron to reach.
  16. Jonathan, As of two weeks ago (when I was last in Wal-Mart) they had the Interceptors in stock. I believe they came in when they stocked up for the Christmas selling season. Have you checked your local Wally-Box stores?
  17. And, if it doesn't work when you post, you can use the "Edit" button to fix it.
  18. What Harry says. Hope his post helps. But never doubt a computers ability to frustrate! If you continue to have issues ie: computer issues, find a computer tech. My computer crashed several times, so the tech (eventually) wiped it clean, and reloaded everything. Plus, I loaded Spybot. Paid for full version, not the freebie one w/ less features (did that the first time. Didn't work) Now my comp runs sweet. Every week I run Spybot "Immunize". Edit: Also agree w/ Bill! That is how I post.
  19. You mean Rocket 88? I don't know how experienced you are with resin, it is not the same as opening a plastic kit. Traditional model cement is ineffective on resin.
