Is anyone else having issues with the forum being so slow? -
Much obliged Gerald. I think that would work for me. Thank you Sir. PM sent.

Thanks. I looked for some K.S. Pittman decals but could not find them in 1/25 scale. I didn't even check to see what a custom set would cost. Probably out of my pay grade.
-
I found and ordered a set of decals so I'm good to go now.

I had a very good day of painting for once. The weather was not perfect but it was good enough. I got the Splash Paints 2K Urethane Clean on and it turned out pretty nice. I just had enough for 3 good coats of clear. I'm a happy camper.
-
Thanks Kyle. Looks like the weather is going to hold. Not sure if I have enough of the clear urethane left but we'll see here shortly.

Well...the weather took a turn for the better and the temperature was about 82° and the humidity was at 48% so I got after it. I got 4 coats of paint on the body and this afternoon I'm hoping to shoot some clear urethane over this Splash Paints Twister Orange.

That green really catches your eye. This thing is down in the weeds and the stance looks Super fine. -
A hot rod 34 Ford
Zippi replied to OldNYJim's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
These ole 34 Ford trucks can be built in so many different ways. I like the Nailhead in the business end and those wheels with the spinners. The fuel tank and tool box in the back are a nice touch and I really like the push out windshield. Great looking build Jim. -

I wasn't much of a Dodge fan back in the day but man that 64 looks good. Those decals really pop over that silver body. Nice build Jason.

Thanks. Still in the thinking process. Still thinking about stance, color, etc. Thanks. I'll see what I can do. You know what...that's is a lot of resin. Well, it'll paint up just like plastic. I'm still in the thinking mode. -

I am building the 1963 release of the 41 Willy's Gasser but I am not making it the Stone, Woods, and Cook version. I am painting mine orange (Splash Paints Twister Orange). I like the K.S. Pittman decals or any that will work with orange.

Thanks man. Well...we'll see if I can pull another rabbit out of my hat. -
Since the weather is not cooperating so I can paint my 41 Willy's I decided to go ahead and open this one up and pull out all the 3D printed parts I bought for it some time back. The chassis is the V1 Universal Drop kit from the Iceman, the 427 Cobra engine is from Texas 3D Customs, and the Cobra 21/20 inch wheels & tires are from Jay's.
