I think the previous four pages pretty well covered what some members know or think still exists, and what was modified too drastically to hold out any hope for the original Craftsman kit to return. Some who know for sure aren't at liberty to share that information publicly, so we'll just have to wait until Round2 is ready to make an announcement.

What Kits Were Molded in Green?

Revell meeting in 1977: "Hey, we can sell a separate Pontiac Sunbird, too! Two kits!!"

I was just reading the MPC chapter in Terry Jessee's Hot Rod Model Kits, and it was mentioned the Li'l Evil T kit from 1975 "was a combination of parts from MPC's original Tognotti King T with the chassis components from the Switchers 1927 T coupe kit." Do the Switchers '27 T Coupe and Ice Cream Truck share a chassis/frame, and maybe the suspension, too? The Switchers '25 T was reissued in 2003, so that should share many of the parts from the '27 T Coupe:

As mentioned on pages one and two of this topic, the AMT '64 Comet Caliente not only exists, but was reissued by Model King within the last decade or so. With the AMT '59 Chrysler Imperial coming in 2019, it wouldn't be crazy to expect the Comet to eventually be reissued by Round2. Factoring in the very recent '65 Comet kits released by Moebius, it makes even more sense.

It's a bit complicated. The original PC83 1/24 Monogram '55 Chevrolet kit from 1963 was a 3'n1 kit, with the custom parts designed by Darryl Starbird. The body shell had no fixed roof, but two separate hardtops and a radical custom bubble top were included: I think the PC83 1/24 Monogram '55 Chevrolet kit was issued once, or maybe twice (I've seen it molded in red and aqua blue), then in 1969 the Badman was released, and the stock hardtop was now molded integrally with the body. So, Yes, the Badman version was a Tom Daniel design, but it was a heavily modified version of a pre-existing kit rather than an all-new kit. The seats found in the Badman (or its twin, the '55 Chevy Street Machine kit) were the custom seat option from the PC83 issue, so those are two of a few parts which remain from the original kit.

Amt '66 Riviera: your input, please
Casey replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
No rush, really, just thought it would give us all a better answer regarding which parts are accurate. Maybe easy(?) things to measure like the valve covers, center-to-center measurement of the end to exhaust ports, oil pan flange width and length? The kit engine I have is not yet assembled, but I could do that for a cylinder head to cylinder head max width measurement comparison if necessary. -
That box.

Were the three 1961 model year kits listed in the below ad the first of AMT's Sytline kits? Looks like SMP joined the party at some point, too, at least with Plymouth Valiant kit:

Maybe next time the custom parts can be included. We can do without the dry transfer graphics though.
