  1. The "gold lettered and pinstriped tires...", which I think may have been included with the MPC Ice Cream Truck reissue?: http://www.collectormodel.com/round2-models/4373-kat-chat-totally-tubular-tires/#sthash.nJ8KpeIM.dpbs
  2. Not true at all. You can polish enamel just as you can with lacquer. No need for a clear coat, really, unless it's a metallic or pearlescent finish. Nothing looks worse on a scale model than an overly thick clear coat, visible with the naked eye. As long as the paint is thoroughly dry (and it sounds like it is, having been in the dehydrator for quite a while), you can start the sanding/polishing process.
  3. I would like to see the decal sheet, too, if someone is willing to take and post a pic, please.
  4. Round2 is really digging deep into the Lesney era snap kit tooling inventory.
  5. Looks like it might be from the AMT '64 Buick Wildcat kit:
  6. I look at Completed items on eBay, or ask here, and that usually covers most of it. No need to delete the images you posted, as the forum has quite a bit of storage space for images from each member. That does look like the third hood pictured, though I honestly can't make out the "Fuel Injection" lettering on the eBay listing's images.
  7. Bob, make sure you seek out the stock Revell '50 Oldsmobile Club Coupe kit, not the '50 Olds Custom, if you're building a stock engine.
  8. I like the FE in the AMT '90s era '66/'67 Fairlane/Comet kits, too, though they don't have multi-carb intakes IIRC. The '60 Starliner's FE-series V8 is still probably a better choice overall, though.
  9. I don't think so. Can you post a picture of the hood you have which has "Fuel Injection" cast(?) into it? It might be from a different kit if it doesn't match any of the three in the above image. As for the chrome parts, those definitely look like '60s era AMT parts, in particular the leftover custom version parts the builder elected not to use. The clear roof section is from the Monogram 1/25 '55 Chevy kit. You can see the part as CL95 on the instruction sheet here:
  10. Close. They are from the AMT '66 Buick Wildcat kit:
  11. Be aware that just because "912-6" is cast into one of the runners, that doesn't mean it's from kit number 912 or 912-6. AMT kit #912 is the '70 Mercury Cougar Eliminator (recent) or the older Y912 '69 Corvette Stingray-- neither of which the parts shown came from. There are flat 6 engine parts present, so you can narrow it down to a 9-series Porsche or Corvair engined kit, and the two missiles and a few other parts confirm it's from the AMT Piranha Super Spy Car. You can match the engine cover and other parts here:
  12. I can't believe there are any left. I thought plain Jane '70s vehicles are what people wanted to buy a case of, to show their disdain for more '32 Fords and '57 Chevies?
  13. Those who don't understand likely never will. That just makes those of us who do understand enjoy it a little bit more.
  14. He understands quality is more important than quantity.
  15. Please, Chris, stop using common sense and following the existing forum sections as they are set up. Can you imagine the neatness and organization if everyone did as you suggest!???
  16. http://www.collectormodel.com/round2-models/4417-coming-off-the-shelf-big-summer-mack/#sthash.UmE6wbvq.dpbs
  17. Why not post your engines along with everybody else's that same topic, instead of having three new topics, all in General Discussion.
