  1. As far as I can tell there were never any decals included for the tractor, despite what the box art seems to suggest: Now, for the Ford fans who enjoy kitbashing...
  2. WOW.
  3. As Bill said, those of us who understood the value in paying for a service we use never had any interruption of service, no need to transfer anything, and no reason to publicly lash out at a private company which had every right to ask people to pay after they'd been getting free service for many years. Personally, I suspect it was all part of PB's plan to drive out the cheapskates who never had any intention of ever paying for service. From a business perspective, it makes perfect sense-- less volume, and only customers who pay for the service the use.
  4. I'm a bit surprised it took this long for both to be reissued, but I'm glad to see the '55 Bel Air Sedan return, despite its shortcomings. I'm shocked to see this kit reissued, and I hope the oddball scale doesn't doom it like it has other similar (read: anything 1/20) scaled kits. I wonder what Round2 is planning to include regarding the motor?
  5. Yes. Yes, the AMT '32 Victoria is also a Trophy Series kit. I guess it depends upon what one considers "now" regrading availability, but Round2 has reissued quite a few AMT Trophy Series kits, though the contents may not exactly match what previous Trophy Series releases of the exact same kit contained (the Carson style roof/top in the '50 Ford Convertible is no longer present, for one example).
  6. I have purchased test shot parts and a built up Revell 1/16 '34 Ford Coupe and Phaeton kits/parts from seller "stupidtoy99" in the past, so I don't doubt your story: I'm curious who you purchased the built model from, when, where, etc., especially if they have more available. There was a copper-colored Revell Trans Am test shot body on ebay a few weeks ago, so they are out there.
  7. The Chevy 454 SS has to be next, right?
  8. I suspect that's what he has, too, but he could've done a bit of research before posting as his statement was not very accurate, unfortunately. 99.9 times out of 100, you/we/I aren't the first people/person to know any given information.
  9. AMT-1110 1/25 1994 Ford F150 Lightning Pickup Truck
  10. AMT 1113 - Piranha Drag Team AMT 1117 - 1/25 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T AMT 1118 - 1/25 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 AMT 1119 - 1/25 '55 Chevy Bel Air Sedan AMT-PP20 Wild Wheels & Wide Ovals Tire Pack (4ea) MPC-883 1/18 Hydro-Vee Boat (Tim Boyd, is this the never reissued kit you hinted at in Gen Disc.?)
  11. Stevens Int'l has it listed as a future release - AMT 1113 , Piranha Drag Team, $63.95 MSRP The trailer will likely be the same as in the recently reissued Fireball 500, and the "street" Piranha much the same as the Super Spy Car. RC2 reissued the drag Piranha within the last decade or so, but it will be neat to see them all together in one box again, as it's been a while:
  12. Sorry, but no. This kit and it's closely related siblings (Mustang II Cobras, Sunbird, etc.) are rather poor models, and share a generic separate frame(!), suspension, floorpan, V-8 engine, etc., and originated during Revell's worst era. Having built the Lightning Rods Monza kit, I would never recommend any of these to another builder.
  13. Technically speaking, no riding mower is included in either of the Indy kits. As stated on the box, it's merely a tractor, and you'd need to come up with your own mower deck and vertical shaft drive and belts for it. A member here did just that: Pics of the Lotus Indy Turbne kit's Wheel Horse tractor parts can be viewed here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/845/mpc-lotus-stp-indy-turbine
  14. Honestly, that wouldn't even be necessary. The incorrect body's lower roofline is impossible to miss.
  15. It could very well be therapy. Nobody will probably ever know the backstory, but what if this was your son, daughter, nephew, cousin, etc. who had a debilitating disease and this is how s/he kept from going insane? Maybe the caregiver/parent is selling the built models to pay for the builder's health care needs, or maybe many other possible things.
  16. No, no progress at all. Not sure I will ever get back to it to be honest. I'm just not enthused about fixing all the things which need fixing.
  17. I do like that the shop owner/employees have yet to (and hopefully never will) make the show more about themselves than the vehicles. I watched the episode with the Skyline and SSS, and it wasn't bad at all. The owner is very low key, so I think most who watch other Velocity shows might find him and the others dull and slightly boring, but they do get into some nice details without getting to far into "ooooh, this has the rare 4/72-5/72 coil style lower radiator hose clamps" territory. I do think their definition of "restored" is a bit loose, and refurbishing a few bolt on parts is a far cry from a complete restoration, but, semantics. As a former '77 GT, '83 GT-S, and '85 GT-S Celica owner, I patiently await an episode dedicated to Swagons.

  19. I agree this technique looks nothing like braided hose, and craft thread, round beads, etc. don't cut it, either. Pre-made braided line, hex fittings, etc. aren't crazy expensive. Unfortunately, quality over quantity is hard thing to learn when someone doesn't understand value. Save money, live better, right?
