  1. https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1680/1966-mercury-park-lane-hardtop
  2. Original Al Borst artwork on eBay a while back:
  3. Are these the smaller pair of tires included in the older AMT Custom - Competition Wheels & Tires set, like so?:
  4. Not the exact packer body shown, but close to it...probably a bit newer:
  5. Sorry, no, but it looks like the instruction sheet was updated very little since the original issue. The RC2 reissue still shows the Hurst mag wheels:
  6. *Whew* Was a bit worried there for a sec.
  7. Kelsey-Hayes "Stripper" wheels, also found in the semi-recent reissue of the AMT '53 Corvette:
  8. The three-part "History of Drag Racing Models" in SAE years ago had a lot of good info from Tom West (though I think Tom Graham was the author?), with some details about his involvement with the Aurora Vega and the real Paulding-Moore-West Vega F/C...worth seeking out all three issues for sure. I did save one of the engineering drawings posted on the SLM pages long ago-- see below. There are a few posts around the forum with Tom West related images, like this one the late Chuck Naylor posted:
  9. A polishing kit is the great equalizer, in my opinion, but there are truly many different ways and materials to use when painting. That said, a solid foundation is always the best starting point, so here's some recommended reading to get you started: http://italianhorses.net/Tutorials/tutorials.htm
  10. Yes, but it'd be a lot of work. Probably better to seek out an MPC '78 Chevy Stepside, the first and only year the (correct) 2WD suspension was offered.
  11. Revell '82 Firebird:
  12. Mill City Replicas '53 Ford COE currently on some auction site:
  13. I agree, and I doubt it even makes financial sense to pursue a reissue of the Turbine Car promo. Are there really 5,000 people who will pay $25-$30 for something like this?:
  14. Well, technically a parking lot, but because, swivel seats.
  15. Nice save. Good to see someone use those '80s era Ertl '40 Ford "Avenger" decals, too.
  16. Not sure if you have Michael's store in VA, but these kits have been in stock there for years, and they always have the 40% (and sometimes a 50% and 60%) off coupon to use...
  17. When is that Moebius Chevy II coming out...? GM sooooo should have made this:
  18. Here's an idea, the "Regatta", a GM Design concept which never happened:
  19. I don't make a habit of listing facebook pages as links, but WOW there are a lot of great images posted daily on the GMPhotoStore fb page. Following.
  20. Here's a great pic showing assembled 1966 Buick engines heading down the line. Note that the starters, flexplates, and even the oil filters were installed before the paint was sprayed...looks liek the spark plugs were installed after, though. Good reference if you're building AMT's 66 Riviera stock.
  21. Just saw these on eBay. Not my thing, but kind of a neat touch Round2 decided to add:
  22. Ditto for the Double Header!! pup trailers:
  23. They don't...yet. I'm guessing they will offer them in a Parts Pack eventually.
