  2. + + new box art = $$$$$$$ for Round2
  3. Are the four tire half pieces to replace the front tires and better represent "floater" tires?
  4. Maybe Round2 will dig deep and reissue the Surf'n Van? Pics of the sibling Horse Hide Hauler kit here, too: https://www.hobbydb.com/catalog_items/denny-mclain-s-horse-hide-hauler/gallery
  5. Someone should ask Round2. More here: http://www.showrods.com/acrobat_articles/69MPC_cat/frm_69mpc.html
  6. Sorry, I should've been more clear. I know you have a great eye for detail, so now I understand, too.
  7. Interesting that the Street Machine/Custom version of the '50 Chevy Pickup doesn't have the vent windows/window channel:
  8. You don't see any differences, even just looking at the "1" and the "7" on the posted Gooche sheet and comparing those two numbers to original AMT sheets? No differences in the spacing between the associated characters? The Gooche sheet looks more like a Lindberg or Palmer knockoff to me than an original AMT sheet. The fact that the seller can't (or won't) claim with certainty what's being sold doesn't exactly inspire confidence, either.
  9. That's a good question, as there's no explicit mention of what the second set of tires actually is. The use of "stock" in quotation marks indicates they at least know the original kit wasn't truly a factory stock vehicle, and the original custom version included BF Goodrich Silvertown tires with separate styrene whitewall inserts, so maybe slicks and the BFGs?
  10. Did you read through the Review topics already?
  11. Those won't be reissued by Round2: Andy says: January 15, 2015 at 3:57 am Do the International 1466, Plow or Farm Wagon molds still exist ? Reply JohnG says: January 15, 2015 at 9:49 am If they do, Round 2 doesn’t have access to those – any Ertl AG related tools were not a part of the tooling we bought.
  12. I went back to the Collector Model blog "What's a Hanger Shot?" post and figured this might be of some value to share: JohnG says: August 4, 2014 at 1:32 pm Hi Walt, We hope to reissue the ’34 Ford pickup eventually as an original AMT kit but the Lindberg version is a current item with one of our vendors, so it could be some time before it all happens.
  13. The custom parts are a diamond-tuffed(?) interior (seats, door panels), custom tube grille, long lakes pipes, chrome plated steel wheels, and chrome plated valve covers:
  14. The knob comes with an engraved 4-speed gate pattern, right?
  15. I guess it depends upon how "gasser" is defined, but I don't think it's out of line to call it that: The 1956 NHRA Nationals program stated, “The Gas Coupes and Sedans are the classic hot rod of today. Cars running in this division are generally used for transportation, instead of being built for competition, and they feature hopped-up engines. Each must have a full compliment of equipment essential for legal on-the-street transportation use..."
  16. We might have a match.
  17. Those tires, though...I don't think there exists a word in the English language to describe how awful they are. I agree 100% about the '66 Mustang and Galaxie wheels, though. I think we tend to forget that even using an existing set of wheels requires them to fit the subject kit properly straight out of the box, so that may eliminate a few candidates right off the bat.
  18. I think that's a good guess. Maybe it'll only be a two or three kit series?
  19. Well, maybe I'm not open-minded, but the difference between 1/24 and 1/25 vs. 1/25 and 1/35 is significant to me. I've always said "subject trumps all", but 1/35 is too small for me, so I'd pass on it, regardless of what the subject is. Back on topic, there aren't a ton of new kits I clamor for, but a 1/8 '55 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop would satisfy me for most of the rest of my life.
  20. I am interested to see what else there is to come in this series, too. It seems this whole "Porsche made a tractor!!??" frenzy only sprouted up within the last few years, and I hate to use the word "fad", but I have my doubts tractor kits are that much of an untapped market.
  21. JC, are you still looking to source the Pirelli tire from a few posts ago?
  22. Rocking Rodney Rat gets all the credit for posting the how-to link. Now watch the price of these kits skyrocket.
  23. I have to wonder if the scale issue for civilian vs. military modelers is a deterrent for just such an idea. How many of us would buy an all-new '72 Dodge 4x4 pickup kit if it was 1/35 scale? And vice-versa for military builders if it was 1/25 scale?
