I couldn't say, as I sold this kit a while ago. -
1/32 Uniroyal Fleetmaster Triple Tread Tires?
Casey replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Vinyl one-piece tires from the 1/32 AMT/Ertl Ford CL-900 kit: -
1) BBC, looks AMT or MPC 2) BBC "mountain motor" from 1/24 Monogram Pro Stock Camaro or Firebird kits 3) BBC (Big Block Chrysler) from 1/24 Monogram '69 Coronet Super Bee 4) Looks BBC ish, but the valve cover are not, at least the bolt pattern is wrong for a BBC 5) Hard to tell on this one what it is. Wouldn't use it regardless.

I can't imagine there'd be a huge demand for either one. Now, the Surf'N Van, yes, please.

Never.

Scott, I initially thought the same thing-- by my count the MMTC kit features 18 new or different parts compared to the '27 Touring, so it didn't seem reasonable and entire secong half of the mold would be sacrificed. Looking at the same section of chrome parts from both the XR-6 and MMTC kits, you can see the runners are the same and the headlight buckets and front bumper remain in the same position, but there is a lot of empty space surrounding the parts for the MMTC kit, and maybe only 15 total parts. Compare that to the XR-6 chrome, and especially where the spoked cycle wheels were which Dave mentioned...it's gone. I guess one could argue the XR-6 parts were all separate inserts and maybe someday they'll turn up, but I think Dave is very much correct here.

1/32 Uniroyal Fleetmaster Triple Tread Tires?

Ah, wrong scale. Thanks, Ben. Was there only one type of tire used for all the 1/43 AMT truck kits? -
I did saw/read the Elegant Farmer cancellation news Doug posted, but not anything regarding the Bed Buggy.

While you'd need to scale everything down, I think a similar faux finishing technique would work just fine: https://heatherednest.com/denim-faux-finish-paint-tutorial/

Revell 69 Charger R/T vs. Revell Pro Modeler 69 Charger R/T
Casey replied to crowe-t's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The Revell-Monogram Pro Modeler '69 Dodge Charger R/T which includes the correct body has "Pro Modeller by Revell-Monogram" all contained in the upper left corner of the box top: The kit with the incorrect body has "R E V E L L - M O N O G R A M" stretching nearly the full width across the box top: -
The roof is too low. The body was corrected after the initial batch was released:

Well, here are two good article over at Hot Rod Magazine covering Halibrand wheels specifically...http://www.hotrod.com/articles/1008sr-halibrand-engineering-wheels/ ...and aftermarket racing wheels in general, including some Halibrand mentions: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/defining-hot-rod-and-custom-car-legacy-wheels-part-2/ The first article has some very good info and even better, large images for reference, like so:

Yeah, this one is on the level of the Pinto fuel tank, not a simple "recall" issue. 124 people died as a result of old GM's reluctance to fix a known issue. That is HUGE, and a terrible thing. I own a '95 Chevy Astro (with the 4L60E which filed to make it to 100K miles) so I do have GM ownership experience, and overall it's been good...but that trans issue was a major problem, and most people not as hands on as me would've sent the van to the salvage yard and written off GM vehicles forever. Long story short, name a vehicle and you'll find some who love it and some who hate it...except for Fiat X-19s-- nobody likes those. Here's a decent read/look at someone who actually participated in one of those Chevy commercials: https://jalopnik.com/somebody-from-chevys-dumb-real-people-ads-spoke-out-abo-1795489304

The wheels are definitely larger in diameter than those in the first kit, but the tires look kind of funky to me, especially the heavy sidewall ribs. Maybe there's something else coming which will also use these tires?

What would make a rear axle cause vibration at highway speed?
Casey replied to LDO's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
^THIS. Get under check for leakage, and it wouldn't hurt to check the fluid level, either, though if the pinion bearings and seal are bad enough to be a bit loose and cause vibration, the fluid level is the least of your worries. This sounds familiar to your issue: -
Little Known Car Facts #7 After Full Wheel Covers and before Mags

Spyder Caps I swear this was answered once here on the forum, but no amount of Googling would turn up any hits. I want to say it was from a Buick kit, maybe? Some kit included these spider caps. -

1/25 AMT '62 Pontiac Catalina Polyglas Gasser II
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
"just not with this kit" Something went awry between planning and packaging, it sounds like, and magnified a bit by the kit's name emphasizing that particular model of tire.
