Will the AMT '55 Nomad hood, bumpers, dash, headlight and parking light bezels, etc. fit the AMT '55 Bel Air Sedan? Are they the same parts from shared tooling? It looks like the rear bumper on both is sans guards, so I think they are the same?

I think most of the issues you mention can be eliminated by disabling the comment on your YouTube videos. For me, the videos and static reviews people post are a great way for me to see what's inside each kit and catch a glimpse of individual parts before I commit to buying, so it's mostly a one-way deal for me. Your video reviews are always appreciated, Chris, especially since they aren't burdened with ads, goofy introductions, teasers to sell related items, etc. They are all about the model kit, as any worthwhile review should be. You definitely should keep filming them, posting them, and sharing them. I'm sure the haters are just jealous of your Midwest accent, too. I mean, they've probably never even had a brat, fer cryin' out loud.

Just got this from PhotoBucket; all I can say is (censored)

Or maybe they are just ridding themselves of those who have no intention of ever paying to use their hosting services. I suspect they have all the number and data to back up their decisions, so now that those super dependent upon maintaining their image hosting have paid the $399.99, they are going after the less dependent members with a less expensive offer. I bet they will offer a $99.99/year plan in a few weeks, which is probably reasonable for most people. I pay $39.99/year for my account, but it will expire next February, so considering the huge amount of 3rd party hosting I use my account for, I have no problem paying a bit more to continue that service without disruption. -
Revell's "new" Jeep & Snowmachine kit
Casey replied to stavanzer's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I understand. Those earlier posts with incorrect info are what you quoted, and what I edited to correct. The below post is the post I was referring to, and in which I stated the chrome parts I had couldn't have come that way from Revell. I should've gone back and edited all my earlier posts sooner, but they should all be correct now. -
Revell's "new" Jeep & Snowmachine kit
Casey replied to stavanzer's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
As I hinted at in one of my replies I couldn't recall if the kit I had was fully intact, and it wasn't. I also cut the parts free when I started working on it and took no pics, hence my uncertainty. I corrected my earlier posts to eliminate any confusion. -
As Rob and I mentioned, this kit originated in '78 or so from Monogram, so to blame Revell 40 years later for some design shortcomings seems a bit silly. I agree, this kit is far from perfect, but keeping Cale's stated plan in mind, the separate bedsides are a huge advantage IMHO. This kit has its warts like many other 40 year old kits, so consider it a solid starting point, and it'll be up to the builder to decide just how far they want to run with it. I guess this all just points out how badly needed an all-new '73-'86 GM pickup kit is.

Detail Master this is cool !

I think Bob is asking bout the number of handles or knobs, not the shift levers? If so, it looks like only one is included, but a box of sewing pins could provide more than one would ever need if you're going with the ball style knobs. *edit* Just noticed they include several lock nuts for the knob/handle, too. -

What did Revell "screw up" on this kit? Yeah, it's simplified in typical late '70s/early '80s Monogram fashion, but not much has changed on any of the Monogram 1/24 Chevy/GMC kits since they were new, other than Revell adding new decals, a newly tooled snowplow assembly, and new boxes.

It's supposed to be a January 2018 release, so last week of January for RPP shops, early February in most other places.

The gun rack/rifles were included in the High Roller version. Longer leaf spring shackles (which are one solidly molded rectangular block) for tire clearance, the larger diameter Ground Hawg tires, outer wheels with a unique lip to fit the tires, and the decals. Here's a good look at the High Roller GMC's instructions: http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/monogram-instructions/monster-trucks--pullers/monogram-gmc-jimmy-/?view=roll#4

4cyl intake suggestions needed.
Casey replied to Ben's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ben, try to find some engine pics of both the AMT Ford Courier and MPC Dodge D-50 kits. The Courier has a Mazda and the D-50 a Mitsubishi inline 4-cylinder engine, and one (or both) might have a decent transmission and transfer case, too. -
Looks to be a reissue of the Monogram "High Roller" GMC pickup, right down to the (all one direction) Ground Hawg tires. I'm guessing the tan and grey areas will be decals, and you'll need to paint the body an olive color to get the full camo effect. Instructions can be viewed here: http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-7226.pdf

Has a 1/25 Toyota 22R engine ever been made?
Casey replied to Ben's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The intake manifold is the major visual difference between the 22R and 22R-E from what I recall, and there are a few other kits with carbureted 4-cylinder engine from which you could find a close IM and air cleaner. IIRC it's 15" or so in diameter, and domed bottom so the carb is half-hidden. Now, the transmission... -
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried the Revell '48 Ford Convertible kit's Carson style top on the AMT '50 Ford?:

After going through the first few pages where you'll see lots of relevant results, you start to see...no more, so you know that's all there is. eBay's search function is very good, and if you use quotation marks for the specific words you're searching for, the minus symbol to exclude keywords you don't wants hits from, etc., you can search very efficiently in my daily experience. If you're searching for Autocar items, use...: "autocar" -only, -mack, -1/87, -palmer ...as your search keywords and you won't get anything with ONLY, Mack, 1/87, nor Palmer listed in the title. Also, if you're the Buy It Now type, set the search for "Newly listed". If you like Auction style listings, use "Ending soonest". I think the "Best match" is eBay's default search based upon your eBay and web searching habits. Use the price range and location search function to narrow things down, too.

Go to Miniatures --> Vehicles, then enter "Autocar" into the searchbox: https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace/miniatures/vehicles?type=product&q=autocar It seems likely to me there just aren't many thing specifically labeled as "Autocar" by the seller/designer. Are you looking for something specific for an Autocar?
