  1. If you glued the interior inside the body shell or the chassis to the body, trapping the interior inside, it's going to be difficult to paint it now, unfortunately.
  2. I'm guessing it'll be just like their "Katch the Kat" versions of regular kit, only molded in a metallic...kolor, this time gold. Looks like Round2 is using the vintage MPC box for the '69 Barracuda, too:
  3. Multiple people have posted images showing it is possible and it's works here on the forum. The second issue is you wanting to post the image hosted at Smugmug at 1000pixels wide, and Smugmug wouldn't allow that size image, i.e., it's "Large" image size is smaller than 1000 pixels. How is that the forum software's fault? Here's an image from my Photobucket account (posted using the IMG link) which is 1600+ pixels wide:
  4. Yes, using the attachment feature, like so:
  5. You really should trademark that. In the meantime, I'll file it right next the The Kit Which Can't Be Named.
  6. Why not just use the code for forums/boards that your image hoster provides, then copy it and paste it here? That's exactly what I did above, and exactly how you are supposed to use those particular links. There's nothing difficult nor tempermental about posting image links that way, and again, while ALL image links you find on the web are not guaranteed to be hotlink-able, most are. I'm an agreement with Mike's comment above. SmugMug, imagur, Photobucket, fotki-- all work properly for posting images here. Because, PEBKAC.
  7. I see quite a few people flocking the package tray/shelf area of their models to represent scale carpeting, but most package trays were made from heavy paper or fiberboard from the factory. It's not a problem if you're building a custom of some sort, but if you're building factory stock, do a quick check regarding what was used, as it was almost never carpeting. Here are some shots of an '80 Dodge Aspen coupe's package tray, on which you can make out the waves (from warpage) and stains, as well as the stamped steel speaker grille: '76 Dodge Aspen SE (top of the line), much the same:
  8. First image below is posted using the BBC Large Code link from your album under Embeddable Links --> Forums: Click to copy The image below is the same link, only I removed the extra stuff which make the link go back to your album when someone clicks on the image. Shorten to the img on both ends, and done:
  9. Works fine using that url you posted, Matt. Not all image links can be hotlinked (i.e. copied from another site then reposted elsewhwere), so keep that in mind, too.

  12. Click on you avatar, then click on the little image icon which appears at the lower left corner of your avatar. Options to change or edit it will appear.
  13. It will depend upon which trans you are using. Assuming a '60's style 4-speed with external linkage, Model Car Garage makes a photoetched fret with the shifter body, tabs for each rod to attach to, and some aluminum rod to make the linkage rods. I think making the trans function like the real thing is going to be difficult without the ability to machine your own parts, though.
  14. I was going to ask about those newly created, extra parts, but it looks like they are for building a second, later(?) version of the same car?:
  15. Is that wishful thinking or is this a known fact? Hubley has been more or less forgotten and disregarded when it comes to plastic kits, but I'd be interested in reading what happened to any and all of Hubley's plastic model molds...or were the '60 Ford Fairlane Sedan and Station Wagon the only two? I'm assuming the AMT '60 Ford Starliner (after the chassis stretched is used) would be an ideal frame/floorpan/suspension donor for one of these bodies?
  16. I *think* the '39 Chevy coupe (and maybe the Sedan Delivery, too?) share most of the engine components with the 1/24 Monogram Malibu 396 SS and Street Rat kits, and while those two are nowhere near stock, they do contain a number of great Street Machine style parts, much like the oft-derided 1/24 Monogram '69 Camaro Z/28 kit. Here's a good look at what's inside courtesy of an eBay listing:

  18. Very little, IMHO. Vintage Can Am and Trans Am cars steal most of the non-open wheel spotlight, and even now most will shun a compact economy car for a sportier, larger car with a V8, regardless of which car(s) might've had a racing pedigree or not. Trumpeter already released their Falcon kits a few years ago, and I doubt Revell nor Moebius would have any desire to dabble in any other GM, American Motors/AMC, nor Chrysler compacts. I'd love to see the AMT Jr. Craftsman Chevy II, err, Nova wagon backdated from it's current Funny Car-ish state, but that seems too much to expect from Round2 at this point. JO-HAN's Comet Pro Stock kit is still around, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear either Round2 or Moebius has acquired it, so there's still hope for that kit, even though it's very far from stock. TL/DR: No, not popular enough to sell to a mass audience.
  19. Any Home Depot or similar hardware store should carry backer rod, which comes in various diameters:
  20. I think the A990 Super Stock version has already been let out of the bag so to speak, but will it be a Sedan body this time around or the same hardtop bodystyle?
  21. The original issue kit had no decals for the center hood color spear, so you had to figure out how to best to that yourself, either before or after you applied the blackout area on the hood. Now, the spear decal is provided in both Saturn Yellow and Apollo White, and decals for the edges of the blackout hood area/pinstripes are provided. One thing to be aware of is the front bumper/grille/headlight surrounds piece...yes, piece, as in it's all one piece. The headlight surrounds should have the plating removed before painting them body color, but that's not the easiest thing to do without damaging the plating on the bumper or grille. I also recall the rear bumper to body fit wasn't ideal, either, at least in terms of their being enough surface area to bond the two cleanly together. Getting the area under the rear spoiler fully painted can be tricky, too, unless you add some pins to the pedestals and paint and mount the spoiler separately. It's a pretty typical late '80s Monogram kit, though, so overall very good with the expected simplification of assemblies.
  22. Here's the decal sheet from the 2012 reissue of the 1/24 '70 Buick GSX kit: There are no gauge decals, but there are a (very) few engine compartment decals to be used.
  23. No, it also works if you copy the url (web address in the browser's address bar), then use then add the IMG tags fore and aft, just like Miles was doing:
