  1. Are you using the attachment feature, or just copying and pasting the image in the body of your message? Which image extension is it not allowing?
  2. Correct on the second song.
  3. We always wish for money we always wish for fame But now he's gone and life goes on Nothing lasts forever, oh no
  4. Yes, that's him. I think he's posted here a few times, but I can't recall his member name at the moment. As for the price, it appears to be a good value considering what you get in terms of the number of separate pieces, as well as the quality of the work which went into making the master.
  5. The engine parts from Jeff have arrived, so I'll get working on the engine tonight. I was thinking we could auction the finished model off, then use the proceeds (if any ) to purchase some kits for Toys for Tots or similar. Thoughts?
  6. Dan's(?) products are very nice from what I've seen, and it looks like this Cummins diesel engine might be a new addition to the lineup?: Not sure if he sells direct or not, but here's what he offers on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/cipmodels/m.html?item=221705623599&hash=item339eaf582f&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  7. Thanks. I knew Mark was involved, but the tires are just so Aurora-like it made me wonder. AFAIK, they have to include them in all future issues of the F/C and T/F dragsters, as Revell can no longer get the "old" tires from the manufacturer in Japan. No tears from me, though, as the old tires were the weakest parts in the kits. Hmmmm, makes me wonder if they will (or already have?) created new front tires for the dragster kits, too.
  8. Out of curiosity, was Tom West involved with (possibly) designing the new wheels and tires? The tires are very (very) close in size the the Aurora parts and have that same "feel," though they are not exactly the same. Either way, the new tires and wheels are a very welcome addition, and should be included inside every future re-issue of the Vega, Duster/Dart, Charger, and Grand Am kits.
  9. No, and he isn't reading nor responding my PMs, so at this point we'll have to assume what Fred has is not going to be sent to Ron. Jeff has generously donated the engine from the second kit he picked up, so we'll be back on track very soon. No big deal, I expected a hiccup or two, so we'll just keep moving forward. We should start discussing what we want to do with the completed model, too, so everyone involved please feel free to offer up your suggestions.
  10. Yes, you are correct. The rear window is put in place first from the inside, then the trim is added from the outside.
  11. Pics/slideshow of the kit's contents are viewable HERE
  12. Doubters gonna doubt. Posted by 88hurstolds ยป Tue Mar 03, 2015 6:31 am Angelo told me he went to Revelle today and saw mock ups of the 83 H/O and 85 FE3X model cars. The 83 will be released next January and then the FE3X and 442 kits.
  13. Was Supertramp's Crime of the Century in the cassette CD player? Love those '70s colors.
  14. The best thing to prevent future disappointment is to look and ask here on the forum before you buy. There are 26 pages of news, reviews, opinions, and images of what's inside all sorts of kits right here in this very forum section, and maybe, just maybe, you'll find an existing topic already discussing the very same kit you're about to start a new post about... I would suggest using the advanced search function to search the forum-- it's the little white gear/flower/star to the right of the search box, which appears at the top right corner of every page, in the blue-grey header bar. Odds are very good someone has not only asked the same question or wanted to discuss the same topic before, but also that someone has provided answer or also wanted to discuss the same topic.
  15. One thing I would suggest it to make sure you paint the inside surface of the body, too, as you can really see those areas on these old AMT annual kits, even after everything is assembled. For a scriber, I use the backside of a #11 X-acto blade, with the tip slightly dulled/broken off, or an old dental pick. A photoetched saw blade works in tight, straight areas, too, but they are a little too thin for most 1/25 model car panel gaps. While you're scribing, undercut the areas where the molded in components (mufflers, exhaust pipes, rearend, etc.) meet the floorpan to give yourself a small separation line/shadow, which will also to make it easier to detail paint the components.
  16. The 1/24 Monogram (now Revell) '36 Ford kit might be a good donor for both the bench seat and rear mounted spare tire.
  17. '71-'77 Chevy and GMC full size G-van grilles were stamped steel, and from '78 and later were plastic.
  18. Thanks, Matt.
  19. Thank you x2, Mark. Just checked the #1 tail light against an MPC Landy kit on eBay, and it looks the same. Thanks for the help, all.
  20. Assuming Matt has a Revell-AG boxed version(?), are they both (Revell-AG(?) and Monogram kits) the same kit as this Airfix kit? I'm assuming Monogram simply re-boxed a Revell-AG kit, provided Revell-AG used the same "chimney" type chrome sprue feed as Revell USA did, like so:
