It's out and available in Europe from more than one seller. $50 or so shipped to the U.S.

Here are content pics of the 1/16 Revell Movin' Out "Big Rig" styled custom Chevy Van, released in 1977: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1627/revell-movin-out-styled-chevy All the requisite custom van touches are present in the van's interior, from the reel-to-reel tape deck, the wood paneling and spindle detail on the pass-through, and the diamond tufted interior panels. Outside, it's a little Peterbilt or Kenworth wannabe, with dual vertical exhaust stacks, air horns, exterior mounted air cleaners, and big-rig style grille and headlights. Yeah, it was a thing back then. ?

1/16 Revell VW Type 1 Panel Van/Kastenwagen
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I do, too, and was wondering how the same panel looked on that version, so I cracked mine open and had a look see. Happy to report it appears to be sink mark free, though the inside of the part is different compared to the Panel Van version: Inside face of the above panel: -
As Steve mentioned, the transparent "glass" pieces for the cap area are included, I just forgot to upload that particular image...which I have now done.

1/16 Revell VW Type 1 Panel Van/Kastenwagen

They are shallow, but can be felt when running a fingertip over the area. A coat or two of filler primer, followed by block sanding (carefully, uncropped image below shows the louvers just rearward of the area in question) as you suggested. They are in a very fortunate location, so not a cause for stressing out. -
I figure there'll be plenty of interest in this kit when it's reissued in Q2 2022, so here we go. Pics below are of the 1979 original issue, kit #2708, via a completed auction listing, but the reissue should look very similar. Reissue mentioned here:

Ford C800 Gar-Wood Load Packer. It's Happening!
Casey replied to chuckyr's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I wonder why new frame rails were created. Maybe specific mounting points for the refuse body? They went through a lot of work to include the ejector blade assembly, which will be almost totally hidden inside the body once everything is completed. Perhaps a lift-off style roof panel is part of the plan? -

1/16 Revell VW Type 1 Panel Van/Kastenwagen
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
There are very few, but also consider many of the larger panels mate to a second piece, so only one side of each piece is visible. That said, I did just now look over the parts again, searching and feeling for sink marks, and why not typical of the rest of the kit's parts, the left rear body piece does have quite a few sink marks, like so: There is another faint sink mark in the floorpan between the wheelhouses, but that will not be visible once assembled. Other than those two, everything else appears sink mark free. -
Yeah, that one was very disappointing to see on the list for obvious reasons. Hopefully they will reconsider and choose another Barris subject to reissue. ? I would expect the Modified Hauler kit to be the same as last time, with Gulf decals. The combo kits (2x Piranha excluded) must be selling well.

Good to see this one return, as it's a good value, IMHO, when factoring in the chopper and trailer. Previous release:

Hemi Engines 1971 Cuda vs others, Scale issues.
Casey replied to Mattilacken's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It was mentioned here on the forum by someone that the engines in many Monogram kit were designed 10% larger, and the '71 Hemi in the 'Cuda seems to bear that out. -
Click here to view the contents of the 1/16 Revell VW Type 1 Panel Van kit, released in 2018: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1625/16-revell-panel-van-kastenwagen While a few areas and details are simplified and/or molded in, overall, this is an extremely well designed kit, though the multi-piece body shell is something I don't look forward to assembling.

Adding the image again: While taking pictures of the 1/25 Revell '72 Olds Cutlass Custom (convertible) kit's parts, I took a few extra shots of the area occupied by both the standard and W-30 dual scoop hood. You can make out the half-valve(?, not sure what this specific union is referred to as, in this context) which can be rotated to either allow or forbid molten plastic to flow into each specific hood cavity, while still allowing plastic to flow through half of the runner. In the above mentioned kit, only the standard hood is included, and is shown below next to an empty spot where the W-30 hood would be located. Here's the group of parts: Close-up of both (slightly misaligned) open and closed half-valve inserts(?):

Pic of that kit's engine block/transmission halves: -
The bodies are the strong points. Kitbash and scratchbuild the rest for best results.

Before this goes off the rails, it depends which sanctioning body, and, well, many other factors. Here's a great link to vintage NHRA rulebooks to get you started on what was NHHRA legal for each class in a particular year: Meanwhile, back to the gas class vehicles. ☺️
