  1. This is a good good example of why coupe/2-door sedan rear quarters do not work well on a wagon.
  2. Who makes this mysterious conversion kit? I must not be the one AF/X is selling on eBay.
3. I opened your image in a new window, copied the url, and used the image icon here to paste it in your post. I also saw the sharing options are down to two on your fotki page.
  4. Now I see how they tagged on the extra chrome parts, including the second (dropped) front axle. Please Revell, replace those awful '80s wheels!
  5. The entry deadline has been extended until Friday, so I suggest you call in sick the next two days and get busy, Bill.
  6. They aren't messing around, are they?
  7. Did they shrink the windshield's "frosted" band, too?
  8. Color good, wheels and tires good, partial wedge chop good, so yeah, looks good.
  9. Unfortunately it sands like it, too, which is a drawback when there will be lots of sanding necessary after the filler is cured. If applied carefully and sparingly, it's a great way to fill voids, cracks, etc.
  10. I still prefer a two-part catalyzed body filler, such as Evercoat's Eurosoft (not sure if that product is still current, though), but Bondo brand two-part filler will work, too, and it's very easy to find.
  11. http://www.73-87.com/7387_Novelties/models.htm On the silver Snap Blazer you can see the "ends" of the horizontal bars which connect the side, rear, and windshield pieces, making it all one piece. I had the Snap pickup many years ago, and the tires were hard plastic just like in the MPC Snap Blazer, but I think the Revell kits included a sidewall piece and second piece which formed the opposite sidewall and tread.
  12. The main problem is the '70 Superbird and '69 Charger (and Daytona) share no body panels, and even the wings are different. The DOH '69 Charger is your best starting point for a Superbird, but the body will need a lot of work.
  13. It makes a lot of sense. Instead of having 382 posts, and 17 pages in this topic, we have a lot fewer of each, and each member has listed all of their good traders. If each person added a new post each time they had an additional positive trade, a single member might have forty posts in this topic alone, and you'd still have to page through the entire topic to read all the posts, only you'd have a lot more pages to read, and no rhyme nor reason why they are posted where they are. If you want to fond out if a trader has had a positive experience with others here and you want to be thorough, yes, you'll need to read all seven pages and see if their screen name is mentioned, or use the search function to search the Trading Post section for the member's name you're wondering about. This section's posts are purged after 30 days of no replies, so there's not much to search through. The "stars" trader rating system is a good one, but Dave Ambrose mentioned it can't be done with this forum's software. I'll freely admit this setup isn't perfect, so if you have a suggestion or a better way to do it, please share it.
  14. Joe Oteri is casting the 1/16 steel NASCAR wheels, and you can find them on eBay, too. Are you basing the conversion on the MPC 1/16 '69 Charger?
  15. What would be really nice is if there was a tag-on p/e set made for use with the existing Model Car Garage 1/12 '69 Camaro p/e parts. The RS headlight door "blinds", grile trim, "RS" and "rally sport" nameplates, and faux quarter panel ducts would be welcome additions, provided someone else tackles the RS/SS tail light lenses, rear valence panel and backup lights/bezels, and the grille and headlight doors. I want to say the inner fender edges which form the grille opening are different on the RS/SS models, too.
  16. Martinis = good shaken. Paint = better stirred (especially clears).
  17. Reliable Resin is a hot button topic here, and if you want to see why, look at the topics mentioning that company's name in this very forum section, as Jon suggested above. You can't post a link to a search result, so you'll have to do it yourself, but the end result is always more drama. You can get a pretty good idea from the search results, so please use that to make your decision, Karl. Please check you PMs, Karl.
  18. There is no perfect fit for every forum topic, so sometimes we make a judgement call where we feel it fits best. The Off-topic section is what, four days old? I went through the first 16 pages of the General section, moving posts out of General and into other categories, but mainly to Off Topic and the also very new Member Introduction section. I'm still planning to do more, but each topic is located where is is because either the O.P. posted it there, or Harry or I moved it there, based on where we felt it best belongs. Again, if you have a question or want an explanation, please PM me. I moved the Michael's coupon back to GD. I replied to it an bumped it back up this afternoon, so there will still be plenty of older posts which have yet to be and may never be moved from GD to OT. Maybe I clicked on it when I was moving other posts out of GD to OT, and it got moved when it should've stayed.
  19. Maybe some of them do, Skip. The post about shipping and ebay is about just that, ebay's new shipping option. If you think a post should be in a different section than where it's currently located, send me a PM with a link, please.
  20. Here's the pic of the to-be re-issued New Beetle: And the sketch Revell has posted for the 1/12 Foose '69 Camaro: Here's the pic I found from 2002 showing a '69 Camaro at Foose's shop, which looks a lot closer to the earlier sketch Revell showed:
  21. Just stopped by my local Michael's and they have done another re-set, or at least added a few new kits, mostly Revell or Monogram kits in the "Dream Rides" packaging. "New" kits I saw were: 1/24 '71 GTX 1/24 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C (the wire wheels version) 1/24 '64-1/2 Mustang Convertible 1/25 Dodge Ram VTS pickup 1/25 '99 Mustang Cobra 1/25 Dodge Viper R/T10 1/25 Ford Aeromax, SnapTite 1/25 AMT '72 GTO
  22. Just picked up two containers of the ebony colored embossing powder from Michaels for $.99 each. IIRC the ebony color was the only one which looked fine enough to pass a 1/25 scale carpet when I looked at them all.
