  1. While great for Wal-Mart supporters/shoppers who want cheap goods, Round2 is really shooting themselves in the foot, and clearly has learned nothing from RC2's history dealing with Wal-Mart. I guarantee Round2 is making less profit per item selling to Wal-Mart than a distributor. Wal-Mart dictates the price, period. My LHS has the Cal Drag Combo priced at $71 or so, which, considering it contains three (ok, maybe two-and-a-half) kits, is fairly priced IMHO. Now Round2 is dumping these at Wal-Mart's dock for less than $25?? I guess LHS owners are supposed to withdraw a bunch of cash, buy up all the local Wal-Mart stock and do the retail arbitrage thing on Amazon to turn a profit? ?‍♂️ We better not hear a single complaint about the price of new kits from any of you who bought these overly-discounted kits from Wal-Mart. Y'all saved money and are living better anyway, right?
  2. ...and it's really close to the folks at Round2, and it's going to be restored soon, too. Actually, not the craziest idea, especially if Round2 has licensing for Jim Henson Productions or whatever it's called. An all-new stock and street rod style bullet nose Studebaker kit would be quite the welcome surprise. I mean, the reference material is only a few miles away, in the basement of the Studebaker Museum:
  3. @Justin Portermentioned this in another topic, and @SteveGwas prophetic, urging patience a few months ago. ? AMT-1334 1/25 1964 Mercury Comet Craftsman Plus Series
  4. AMT 1312, Studebaker Avanti, with headlight options (square or round) to build it as either a '63 or '64:
  5. @niteowl7710knows plenty. We'll all find out soon enough what the all-new kit is.
  6. @SteveG seems to be the go-to social media person for Rond2's automotive news, so I'm sure once he's able to make it public, he will. @pack rat ain't spilling the beans early, either. ??

  8. Here's that blurb about the kit's features, mentioning the decals, from the revell.de 'site: Very demanding model for experienced model builders Multi-piece V8 engine Movable bonnet Movable hood Multi-part body Various chrome parts, including rims, exhaust pipes and carburetors Decal for three versions known from feature films
  9. I'm not going to derail this topic any further. I wouldn't plan on seeing anything other than clear parts in this kit, which I suspect will be just fine with the majority of people who buy and build it.
  10. Two different companies, Revell and Round2, but I fail to see any viable business case for Revell to shoot the clear parts twice, in two different tints, for this kit. Tamiya smoke gets the job done for the seventeen people worldwide who want tinted sunroof panels.
  11. Which recent kits have included both clear and smoke-tint clear parts?
  12. The 1/16 Revell '83(?) Firedbird SE kit might be the closest thing in scale. Hard to find a clear, large image of the wheels, but they do have separate 'bowling ball' center caps:
  13. The blue Mustang IMSA was reissued once, as part of the SSP, and looking at eBay prices, they are equal to or less than what a new reissue would cost. Not sure there is a huge market for these kits, to be honest, even of Atlantis acquired them from Revell.

  15. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Krtw0T0kkWvebLzYA4AyFhYZ8KEm9i0q/view I don't see the '56 Buick listed nor shown, so maybe that release was delayed.
  16. It's not having, but rather publicly sharing those opinions publicly which may be against the forum rules. The rules are very clear here, and Xingu/Mike has always leaned toward allowing questionable discussions proceed, so it's pretty hard to make a case for being a victim here.

Sometimes we have to put on our big boy pants and self reflect, understanding that we can be wrong at times, and that our own personal selfish wants, desires, and preferences do not align with the forum membership as a whole. I get plenty frustrated at times by things I read here, but then I realize I'm not special and move on with my life.
