Dodge L700 - Did Tim Ahlborn built the box art model?
Casey replied to Daniel Peterson's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I noticed this, too, on the original issue I picked up from eBay. I figured the vinyl compound had shrunk over the years, but maybe something else is a factor if this was also an issue with the reissue from 2007. Kind of a bummer, as the Dayton(?) wheels, especially the fronts, are nice looking. Sadly, the fit between the wheels and tires is not even close, and there's very little 'give' or 'stretch' to the solid tires. -

Correct 2 speed rear axle for a '50 Ford F truck?
Casey replied to JTalmage's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks for that link, and glad to see the images are still viewable. For future reference, here they are uploaded directly: I've been looking for this info and something close in kit form, but so far nothing easily sourced for the latter. The Italeri Opel Blitz and AMT Ford C-600 rear axles are too large and a bit funky looking, and heavy truck (AMT GMC Astro 95, MPC Mack, etc.) too large overall. The Revell '37 Chevy Pickup's rear axle looks like it could work for a lighter duty F-series, but might be a little bit undersized-- really not much heavier than the stock 1/25 Monogram '50 Ford F-1 rear axle. Which leads me to the 1/25 IMC Dodge L-700's rear axle: Kind of hard to tell, but it looks like it might be the Eaton axle? The general shape is there, the round, bolt-on inspection cover is very close, but a bit of tweaking would be necessary to lose some of those blocky looking details. For comparison, the AMT Ford C-600 (narrowed a bit, IIRC), IMC Dodge L-700, nd Revell '37 Chevy Pickup rear axles, in that order, from top to bottom: -

The AMT Cal Drag Combo should be out in late Q1 2021 or so. Some places say 1/31, others February and March.

..2021? ? I did see you mention they are "on the boat", so I think Q1 2021 is a reasonable arrival window. Pegasus' website is always "down for maintenance", it seems, but here's the final box art?:

He offered the Scrambler body up to a caster, but that caster stated it needed some rework to make it viable as a catalog product. I have see some recent eBay listings under the same screen name, but I don't think Jeff has been active on the modeling forums for a while now.

Yes, that's how I do it, but because that doesn't automatically add them directly into the body of your post, you can control how and where they appear.

Thanks, you are correct. Just watched Chris'/hpiguy's video to confirm. Still hoping that canoe from the earlier hardtop reappears soon.

Some AMT 1960 Chevy Wagon Jr. Trophy Series goodness for the new year here: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1528/1960-chevy-wagon-trophy-series I am enthused at the renewed possibility of many of these kits reappearing, albeit in homage/tribute form, much like the forthcoming AMT '63 Chevy II Nova Wagon kit. 2021 could be a very good year indeed. ☺️

Was a transparent piece included as pictured on the box top, or was that just artistic license?

How are you uploading the images into you post? If you upload them all into the upload box (for lack of a better term), then click the "+" sign at the upper left corner of each image individually, you can have complete control over where and when each image appears in the body of your post. That way, you can add text then add the image as desired.

Not sure, but agree 100% on the visually unpleasing front clip (and coordinating stretch) update. ? Hopefully Round2 considers a One Run of Fun with another reissue, then decides to backdate things to the Jeepster we (almost) all want. At least the wheelbase of the kit was never lengthened to be accurate, so maybe with the new technology Round2 is using, it wouldn't be such a...stretch. In the meantime, here's a look at the content of the 1970 Jeepster Safari Wagon kit. Maybe 2021 will bring good new on the reissue front: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1510/2070-1970-jeepster-safari-wagon

In line 6 cylinder engines, what kits have them?

I think I would agree, based upon what I can see in the two images above. The bevels on the valve covers looks a bit too sharp for starters. If you feel up for taking and posting pics, I'd be interested in seeing the details of the bellhousing and cover (adapter plate?) pieces at the very least.

Design Detail's car ramps...a bit steep ?: I'm not even sure Design Factory is OOB, but I'm guessing so. Maybe just an older looking package, but here's a Mustang/Falcon inline 6 engine currently listed on eBay: -

Mill City Replicas - '41 Ford COE?

Still or again, not sure which, but they appear to be available again. This '66 Nova 2-door sedan body is currently listed on eBay, and they have some other interesting stuff, too: '33 Willys Coupe: Currently listed on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Buick-Convertible-Resin-Transkit-Model-Kit-Mill-City-Replicas/333834836493?hash=item4dba1b5a0d:g:7cAAAOSw-wZfoBup -

Resin casting large parts and rubber tires?
Casey replied to Oldmopars's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The 1/8 Monogram Goodyear VR50 tires I mentioned, found in the '85 Corvette and Camaro IROC-Z kits, measure 3-3/16" in diameter, so pretty close to your needs, as 80mm = 3.15"
