  2. Curious Yellow (Plymouth) and Citron Yella (spelled correctly, Dodge) are GY3 while Sublime (D) and Lime Light (P) are code FJ5. Use whichever yellow you feel looks closest.
  3. True, but some images are still viewable, and the words remain, too. Really the best technique I've seen shared here on the forum, so worth a read IMHO. Adding on a bit to this topic, I have one long term project which will require both new windows (where the base kit included none) and replacement windows, where the kit supplied parts are too out of scale, so I keep my eyes open when I shop thrift stores (charity shops for U.K. members ?). I have collected a few different styles and sizes of screen protectors for future use as scale window "glass", as seen in the attached image. One piece even has slightly curved edges on two opposite sides, which might come in handy for a specific application. With handheld devices becoming outdated and obsolete rather quickly, you can bet the screen protectors they were designed to protect are cheap as chips on the secondary market now, too...and we know auto modelers are a frugal bunch. tl/dr: keep your eyes and mind open.
  4. Now, chrome plated with SUNOCO decals:
  5. Different Michael's store, different kits.
  6. Farm & Fleet was clearancing out all of their K&S materials, so I stocked up. ?
  7. With the '63 Chevy II Nova Wagon kit from Round2 due very soon, I was thinking about which other subjects Round2 might tackle based on this same line of thinking-- i.e., an all-new Craftsman (curbside) style kit, followed by a second, different, all-new full detail kit a year later. To be clear these would not be all-new kits of never before off subjects, but rather all-new kits based on previously offered kits, which, for whatever reason(s), can no longer be reissued. (1) 1962 and/or 1963 Chevy II Hardtop: A '62 or '63 Chevy II Hardtop seems a very realistic subject to me, as the hardtops and wagons share the same 110" wheelbase, so Round2 would need only remove the spare tire well from the chassis plate, and I think the grill/front bumper, rear bumper, and tail light pieces could be re-used, too. Maybe that's why they elected to mold the windshield separately from the rear "glass" section...Yes, and all new body and interior would be needed, but not a ton of effort for an all-new kit of a long gone, and never to return subject. Not sure what all the differences are between '62 and '63, but the I6 and V8 engines seem like obvious choices. Maybe '64 and '65 hardtops later, too? (2) 1968 and 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T: I think this type of kit development would be the best chance for people to see the lusted-after '68 Dodge Coronet R/T kit, too. Though it would not be the same as the original MPC kit, I doubt many buyers would mind nor care. Curbside first to feed the frenzy from the lunatic fringe, then a fuller detail kit later for the masses. Do a '69 the same way later, and you've got four distinct kits to put on store shelves. (3) '71-'73 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am & Formula The MPC annual kits are long one, so despite Round2 having the very good '70 Z/28 kit in three flavors, the early second generation Pontiac F-bodies have been underserved in 1/25 scale. The Trans Ams could be spread over three model years, with different interiors and details as needed, and a Formula or two mixed in for good measure, despite the unique fender vents on the '71s. Let's hear your ideas based upon this line of thinking, please.
  8. Here's the final page of the '77 catalog, but I don't think any of these are all-new:
  9. I tend to agree. From the Round2 website: "The company’s production stayed in Troy until 1979 when they were bought by Lesney’s Matchbox Toys division. At this point, production was moved to Baltimore, Maryland and remained there until 1996, despite AMT being bought again by another company in 1982. In March of that year, the AMT line and its tooling were sold to The Ertl Company of Dyersville, Iowa." So, the last new kit prior to the Lesney acquisition would've been one of these, from 1978?
  10. When was the last time AMT existed as a company, rather than a brand name?
  11. MPC 787 Daytona Transporter also included a fully chrome plated Pontiac OHC I6 engine:
  12. I think what you see on the box top is what will be on the decal sheet, for the most part, broken into smaller, more manageable sections.
  13. Until the Coca-cola licensing agreement with Round2 expires on December 31, 2021. ? I would anticipate these to sell briskly, given the pent-up demand for this year range of C-series Chevy pickup, so don't snooze if you want one.
  14. The '72 Chevy Cheyenne is being released concurrently, so we've got options:
  15. I was thinking out load that a '71 Boss 351 version might be forthcoming with the the work done to improve things up front, but maybe not. Of course, they could release a a '71 Boss 351 without a factory correct style chrome plated front bumper, and the later style front bumper would still be included (I think, assuming the existing bumpers would remain).
  16. Those owning other/previous issues of the MPC '71+ Mustangs might be able to tell if the parts shown in silhouette are in fact different than anything previously included. I know very little about this generation of Mustangs, but I'm guessing the Mach1 has a factory painted/elastomeric coated front bumper, and not a chrome plated front bumper? At first I expected to see something different among he chrome parts, but it makes sense the new parts are elsewhere if there's no need for the part to be chromed....same for a '71 Boss 351, right?
  17. Sorry, fixed. You mentioned it elsewhere on the forum, which is what prompted me to search.
  18. This is the company Round2 and Revell (sometimes) use for their decals: http://www.cartograf.eu/
  19. Compared to the previous MPC '73 Mustang reissue from a few years ago, there are definitely some different parts, which I circled in yellow. The existing parts appeared to be a pieces of the roll cage, but it looks like a "new" front bumper, a valence panel maybe a rear pedestal spoiler?) and two other parts: MPC '73 Mustang reissue:
