In case people missed this...: "There will be another version Nova Wagon kit that will include an engine and other items like the original 3n1 release that's about a year out. I do not have the full details of that version yet but it's being based on the original release. Both of these are are being packaged as nostalgic items, not modern tooling."

Look closer at the images, and don't assume the O.P.'s "back in the day" comment is rooted in fact: Not sure why the O.P. posted a reversed image, but here's the correct shot:

Here's an excellent post(s) in the middle of an Under Glass topic, but the content is well worth reading:

Maybe the previous release sold out quickly? Maybe Round2's Petty Enterprises licensing is soon to expire, too? Maybe... It should be all set up to run from the last time, same box art, same decals...easy money for Round2.

I am thinking the MPC '71(?) Mercury Cougar kit might be reissued within the next few years. The second gen Ford Bronco not being reissued is still a mystery to me, too, but I suspect there's a good reason we have yet to see it. I wonder if the 1/24 Monogram '70 Plymouth GTX can be reissued, or if it was irreversibly modified into the '70 Plymouth Road Runner? I believe 1991 was the most recent(!) reissue.

Will we ever see the Monogram S-10 again?
Casey replied to Jim H.'s topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
AMT released a Styleside 2nd gen S-series kit kit, so check the usual online resellers or post here on the forum in the Wanted section. -
Either of the 1/16 Revell '34 Fords can provide a TH350 with a Chevy style bellhousing and an aftermarket style pan, but it's nicely done, and shouldn't be too difficult to modify to the B-O-P style. Other than the MPC '79-'81 T/As, I can't think of only the Otaki 1/12 Pontiac V8 from their '71/'74 kit. The 1/8 Monogram Pontiac V8s are no more detailed than their 1/24 scale siblings, and forget about any Buick or Olds V8s in larger scales. It took how many years to get modern tool 1/25 scale Pontiac, Olds, and Buick V8s? Unfortunately, I wouldn't expect anyone to jump on this opportunity to capitalize on larger scale B-O-P parts, as there is likely very, very little demand for them.

They should be the steel wheels with trim rings and hub caps, like below. Very little of the (black) steel wheel is visible once the trim ring and hub cap are mounted, so I'm assuming Round2 simply created a one piece wheel assembly, with engraved detail, then chrome plated the wheels. Interestingly, they came in both 14" and 15" sizes: The 15" wheel below shows where the black wheel areas (or maybe just a shadow, hard to say) peeks through between the trim ring and hub cap: Info sources: http://429mustangcougarinfo.50megs.com/wheels.htm http://www.mustangandfords.com/features/1902-most-original-1971-boss-351-in-the-world

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....
Casey replied to Dave Van's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
To be fair, it is labeled as a "Street Machine", so no guarantees regarding stock roof height nor correct DLO. ? The blue Street Machine version of the T/A suffers from the same poor wheel offset/fitment: I believe the announced 1/32 Firebird F/C is the Don Prudhomme Pepsi Challenger kit, pictured here: -

Yes, I think the Charger was last available as part of the three-kit combo kit, along with the '70 Superbird and '70 Challenger T/A. Because Atlantis has only GM licensing, we'll have to wait a few years to find out if they release the Charger (or Duster F/C, former Aurora Barracuda, etc.). Here are the forthcoming 1/32 ex-Monogram kits featured in the '84 catalog: -

Hmmm, I rather liked the new tires and slicks Revell created for the 2014 Hawiaan release, not to mention the all-new matching wheels. I hope we still get the new wheels, and not the old two-piece Cragar Super Trick(?) style wheels nearly all the Revell 1/16 F/C kits previously included. -
Model kit history question: MPC Rosco police car kit

The 1/25 AMT '62 Pontiac Catalina has an excellent '55-'81 Pontiac V8 engine, and there is no shortage of these kits available in the sub $25 price range. Yeah, you'll need to tweak things as necessary for whichever model year engine you are building, but since Pontiac used the same basic block for both large and small journal V8s, the '62 Catalina's engine will pass for the vast majority of instances. If the '60s era Revell 421 Pontiac V8 is more to your liking, those are cheap and easy to find, too. Honestly, I really don't see a need for this from the aftermarket. Various and assorted intake manifolds and more typical passenger car type exhaust manifolds to use with the AMT '62 Catalina's V8 would be most welcome, though.
