  1. The Monogram kit's wheels have five exposed lugs, rather than a hexagonal center locking nut. The Fujimi kit(s) you pictured appeared to have the center hex nut, just like the Monogram/Revell road racing kits Roger mentioned earlier. I was really suggesting the wheel centers, knowing you would probably use some turned aluminium hoops to get the desired offset.
  2. Ryan, try contacting Round2 (which makes AMT and MPC-branded kits) and explain (honestly) what happened. They may be able to help with a replacement body: https://round2corp.com/request-a-part/
  3. Might get you close, for the wheel centers, at least:
  4. I don't think it will be, as the original didn't include it, either. Now, as for four slicks being included, we shall see. Perhaps those Gates Commando XT tires are stickier than we all suspected after a burnout and a few dry hops. ?
  5. AMT '61 Buick Special Wagon trailer: AMT 1962 Buick Special Wagon trailer:
  6. AMT-1227 1/25 1998 Chrysler Concorde Street Heat Slammers (Snap)
  7. The trailer load (as opposed to be optional to install in the car itself) Hemi engine was put to use when the Boss Nova version was created, and many of the geegaws included with the AMT '63 Chevy II Nova 400 Wagon 3 in 1 Customizing Kit are still found in the Boss Nova kit, too. Note the helmet, face mask, oil and gas cans, and tool box in both: I'm not sure if it's ever been determined what became of the trailer.
  8. Considering it took 30+ years for the optional street machine parts to finally appear and for the Super Bee section of the bumblebee stripe to be corrected, I wouldn't hold out much hope....though I agree, a set of steel wheels and side scoops would be appreciated additions.
  9. There are multiple online hobby shops and distributors which list releases well in advance of their street date, plus, it was mentioned here on the forum a few weeks ago in another topic.
  10. It's clear to most this is a near-straight reissue of the California Wheels version, for which there are reviews here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/revell-1956-chevy-del-ray/ New decals, box art, Bob's your uncle.
  11. Looks like the 1/25 Revell Chevy custom van is being reissued soon:
  12. I purchased my Sherline lathe on eBay six years ago for $500 or so shipped, so perhaps recent pandemic influenced events have made more available on the secondary market. Prices will vary, so check the usual places in your area. I recall two being available via craigslist locally when I purchased mine, but one had full electronic controls and was priced in the $800+ range IIRC. Sherline makes an excellent quality product, and the old adage "you get what you pay for" certainly holds true in my experience with my (used) lathe. This topic has been discussed quite a few times, so perhaps a moderator could merge them all for easy future reference:
  13. Oh, Chad...?‍♀️?
  14. Thank you for the information, Steve. ?
  15. No, they were not ex-FBI cars. No idea where you got that info, as only four total were ever produced. Here's an article on the red car Rob mentioned: https://www.hemmings.com/users/57589/ride/828.html Another: https://www.hotrod.com/articles/muscle-car-and-corvette-nationals-mcacn-continues-its-streak/
  16. The AMT Fruehauf beaded trailer van is a 40' trailer.
  17. Which 1:1 pickup bed are you trying to replicate? The DM kit is generic, so look at detail images online of how the real bed planks and hold down strips (pe pieces in the DM kit) are used, then do the same in scale. I recall seeing some pickup beds with the hold down strips standing a bit proud of the wood planks, so you may not need to recess the strips much or at all.
  18. That early Monogram box art is great. "No Painting Required", then showing six variations, each in a different color...?
  19. It appears the front tires are generic radials, is that correct? I couldn't make out the detail in Chris' video, but they look too wide for an early '70s P/S car.
