  1. Out soon, the AMT-1226 '58 Plymouth "Street Fury" snap-together, curbside/slammer (no interior, one-piece chassis/suspension) kit: https://round2corp.com/product/amt-street-fury-1958-plymouth-slammers-snap-125-scale-model-kit/ • GREAT KIT FOR NEW MODELERS: AMT’s 1/25 scale Street Fury 1958 Plymouth makes for a great project, and with a pictorial assembly guide, it’s easy enough even for inexperienced builders. Start collecting and building today! • FEATURE PACKED: The Street Fury 1958 Plymouth snap kit features fast & easy assembly, metal axles and chrome rims. Kit also includes ALL-NEW decals. • QUICK SPECS: 1/25 Scale. 21 Parts. Built size: 8 x 3 inches. Parts molded in neon green and black with black vinyl tires. Some parts chrome plated. Skill Level 1. For ages 8+ PAINT AND GLUE REQUIRED. I'm assuming the AMT 1227 "Street Heat" '98 Chrysler Concorde will be molded in neon yellow?:
  2. We've got options. ? The GM Photostore just posted this on their facebook page. Good tail light bezel/trim detailing reference at least:
  3. Form Round2's facebook page: Round2 Models Favorites · 49m · Sneak Peek! Coming early next year. Sorry for the delay guys, we wanted to try and make this release as nice as possible while still using what remained of the original annual mold's parts. *see image above James posted previously*
  4. Coming back in 2021, AMT kit #1223, but maybe as the Cal Drag Combo II this time around?:
  5. Despite the scale difference, the '84 Olds appeared to still be heavily based upon the earlier 1/24 Monogram GN/Monte Carlo kit design. The Monogram S-10 kit's 2WD upper control arms are well, poor, to be kind, so I was hoping the 1/25 Olds Cutlass parts'd be an upgrade there, at least. Below are several shots of the original Monogram S-10 issue (kit #2434, in aqua colored plastic) compared to the same parts from the 1/25 AMT '95 Chevy S-10 SS/LS kit, molded in gray. The AMT crossmember has some vertical pieces as part of the crossmember which don't quite fit inside the Monogram kit's frame rails, but they can be flexed, or thinned if one so desired. I think the Monogram LCAs look much crisper and better defined, though, despite being molded as one with the crossmember.
  6. I am still partial to the 1/24 Monogram '85 Pontiac Trans Am kit. I believe this kit exists now as the '91 Firebird Formula kit, but with the convex snowflake wheels, hidden headlights, and those then-new beefy Goodyear VR50 tires, what's not to like? The black and gold color scheme is rather easy on the eyes, too. Convex snowflake wheels, hidden headlights, and those then-new beefy Goodyear VR50 tires...what's not to like? The black and gold color scheme is rather easy on the eyes, too.
  7. If you directly upload it here (i.e., not post a web link), it will remain here, as it's hosted by the forum from that point forward.
  8. Yes, the (orignal) 1/24 Monogram '57 Nomad in a Revell labeled box...but Atlantis is reissuing the vintage Revell kit, just so there is no confusion what's coming.
  9. Not aimed at your comment directly, but I have yet to see a Round2-certified image of this revised kit, and in particular, of the front end area which was reportedly freshened. I don't think any of the images which are circulating are of the actual updated model, so I'm not ready to write off the updates until I see them in the flesh. Now, if the front bumper ends up being the larger, later style, bring on the boos.
  10. This release is all about availability and price point. In the same condition, there are so few original kits available, and when one can be found, it'll be at a price point far higher than this kit will retail for. $30 is a great value for this subject in new* kit form. Original kits will still command a premium, as this forthcoming kit is not a reissue. Better image of the box bottom:
  11. Other than the little wrap-around piece (which never looked like an ideal fit into the body pocket on the original kits, either), and maybe a slightly too thick headlight trim ring and a tad bit too much brow above the windshield, it all looks good to me. Mike's build up is one one the best I think I've ever seen, and it passes the (my) eye test easily.
  12. If someone who has both the 1/25 Revell '84 Olds Cutlass and the S-10 could test fit and post the results, it would be appreciated.
  13. They look a lot like these two, Sam:
  14. Is the Plymouth logo in the center upside-down?
  15. Is the MPC (AMT?) kit/promo part not an option for you? This appears to be the '75-'76 style grille in an ebay completed sale listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mpc-1-25-73-Plymouth-Duster-Grille-Original-Nice-Condition-/174539370150?hash=item28a35b6ea6%3Ag%3AsF4AAOSwW8VfxFu8&nma=true&si=yzuKnimeATEx%2FZXWtarHjQVcT44%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Perhaps the recently reissued AMT Jim Cushman Duster Sportsman could provide the grille, too?:
  16. Looking too boxy is the least of that car's design concerns. ? Round2 has reissued worse (IMHO) subjects, but I can't see a Superfly/Sweathogs specific version selling well at all. Not convinced a fully back-to-stock version would set any sales records, either.
  17. Here's the parts breakdown for the T 224 issue, and the body-specific steps, showing how the builder would enlarge the existing wheel arches and glue the custom flares in place: This wouldn't make the worst reissue.
  18. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/turn-back-tuesday-mickey-thompsons-titanium-pinto-funny-car/ If you can find this back issue...: http://racersreunion.com/jimmy-persson/gallery/66940/mickey-thompson-pinto-mag
  19. Here are some decent images of an X-EL Products '56 Pontiac 4-door sedan with the green tinted clear parts:
  20. It's explicitly clear to anyone who reads the list Dave Van posted earlier which kit Atlantis is reissuing. They included the original Revell kit numbers and specific prefixes for each original manufacturer on the spreadsheet list, too, so the only question is what they might use for box art on the two '57 Chevy releases.
  21. I think Carl might've meant the MPC Monte Carlo Super Stocker kit? Not sure, but they are very similar to AMT's Modified Stocker series kits....maybe we need a unique topic for the MPC Super Stocker kits:
  22. Agreed. From the 1978 AMT catalog:
