  1. Perry's Resin once offered an early first gen Chevy S-10 grille which was very nicely done decent. Not sure if anyone wants to open that Pandora's box and contact Randy to see if he'd offer it again, but it might be worth the effort of a few e-mails or facebook messages.
  2. Can we please not with the off-topic rants about emissions testing, etc.?
  3. "There is NO buying or selling allowed!" ?
  4. No.

  6. The tag allows for more specificity. When you use the Google search function to view any finished builds of BMW Isettas, for example, it returns hits with only those words in the post title, and tags with those words. "Show me your...", is another way is saying "My time is more valuable than yours, so I'm not going to take the time to search for all of the completed builds I'm interested in viewing, but I want you to find your old post, then post them again in one spot so it's super easy and convenient for me." They already exist here on the forum, and the Google search feature works quickly and easily:
  7. This one, too: AMT-1231 1/25 1972 Chevy Pickup Truck w/Coca-Cola Vending Machine & Crates
  8. Yes, actually: https://www.jsonline.com/story/communities/southwest/news/west-allis/2020/03/30/coronavirus-west-allis-police-close-hobby-lobby-non-essential-covid-19/5090170002/ Just because the people who head the company show little concern for the safety of their own employees shouldn't give them a pass for being discussed. Where people shop for hobby related supplies and kits is certainly relevant here, but some people refuse to acknowledge the truth and continue to support such a business because, 40% off coupon/Wal-Mart mentality. We have plenty of topics on this forum discussing which aftermarket companies are worth supporting, reliable, trustworthy, etc., so other hobby related businesses should be accountable for their business practices, too.
  9. Welcome aboard, Devon. The Q&A section is the correct place to ask your questions, so you're good there. Please check out and bookmark this pinned topic, and it is a far superior search method to the forum's own search engine. Many times the same, or a very similar question, has previously been asked, and there are multiple topics and replies with helpful information existing here on the forum: Using this search method and the keywords "resin casting" will return many helpful posts, and will give you an idea of what will be required, and the skill set necessary to pull of successful casting. I can't help with local source for supplies, but I would suggest you be more open to having product shipped to you, as that won't limit your options to items which are physically close to you. Smooth On 300 is a quality, semi-slow setting resin which I've had great success with, and would recommend: https://www.smooth-on.com/products/smooth-cast-300/
  10. Well, they did tool up all new fenders skirts, bumpers, a LaSalle style grille, and new wheels (again, maybe the fifth unique included with this kit?). We are fortunate to only have such minor nits to pick.
  11. Exactly this. See steps 5 and 6 in your instructions which indicate where the radiator hoses, heater hoses, etc., attach.
  12. Atlantis is reissuing the ex-Revell 1/25 '57 Nomad, and while both the 1/25 modern era Revell '55 Bel Air Hardtop and '56 Nomad would be welcome reissues, not so much regarding the 1/24 Monogram '57 Nomad.
  13. The 1/16 AMT kits are a bit crude, in my opinion. Very similar to the 1/16 MPC Trans Am Firebird you mentioned in fit, fidelity, finish, etc. Wouldn't be my first choice. The two Revell 1/16 '34 Fords are both very good kits. Dated, yes, but they are from the late '80s golden era of Revell/Monogram engineering, and everything fits well and looks good. Now, they are not perfect (tires are 14" and 15" Goodyear Eagle STs), but I would recommend either as a starting point. I don't love the early ('82 Z/28, Firebird SE) Revell 1/16 kits, and the even earlier snap-together Camaro, Firebird, and Corvette should be avoided at all costs. Even the currently available/reissued Porsche 928 was originally a snap kit, so I'd suggest avoiding that one, too. The modern era Revell-AG 1/16 VW Beetle and "Bus" kits are excellent, and I would recommend both highly. More info to digest:

  15. '90s AMT/Ertl...lowrider version of some full size car? Can you take a picture of the backside, or was the image found on the web? They sure included plenty of them. ?
  16. I'm assuming it won't. If Revell couldn't locate/include all of the stock parts, I'm guessing the Waverider-specific version's parts are lost forever, too. I'm sure I have at least one set of the custom, transparent red tail light lenses if anyone needs them. I think the Waverider had a "smoothed" tailgate, too, didn't it?
  17. I don't think these are from a traditional plastic model kit, but rather an unassembled die-cast model. The 1x4 set has its own sprue on one runner, too. I would look into a Testors or similar product.

  19. Good news. The 1/25 scale Allison GT 404 turbine engine, originally (and only) included with the original issue of the AMT T 510 GMC Astro 95 kit, will be reissued as: PP29 - Big Rig turbine Engine Parts Pack Per Doug Ridge at Round2: "Yes it is the original (engine) from the GMC Astro, from the original AMT tooling."
  20. The Premier kit is hot garbage. Far better and more accurate aftermarket kits are available:
  21. True, but that was during the "no chrome" era at Revell. IIRC, the last release in 2000 included chrome plated parts. I think the built up model was based upon an older/vintage kit. The box art clearly shows tampo-printed Firestone tires, and Revell wouldn't dare mold and include two-piece vinyl tires in a modern release.
