  1. I think Iceman Collections has that
  2. Very nice build, this kit does have its faults, but yours looks real good.
  3. Been following along on your build, turned out exceptionally well.
  4. I use the cheap Badger, the one they don't lock up in the case. Usually $20 to $25. I shoot mostly lacquer paint and it does well.
  5. Who knows. When something comes out and you buy several, it ends up getting reissued a lot with updated and extra parts. But if you don't get several, then it certainly won't be available again.
  6. Butch ran a Dart, don't know if it was one of the factory Hemis, and a Coronet as far as Dodges go. Don't know what classes they ran in, possibly with someone else driving, but they had the orange and white California Flash paint schemes.
  7. One personal example, both kits listed as 1/25 scale. I was taking the chassis and drive train from the Revell Hemi Dart and putting it under the old MPC '69 Barracuda. I had to trim about 1/4" out of the wheel base and I think it had to be narrowed too. Should have been a drop in.
  8. The Monogram has an inline 6, I don't think the others do.
  9. The MCW is a nice body and comes with a base interior. I'd wait on it. If you are like me, you have a bunch of other projects you can work on.
  10. Mark never ceases to amaze me, I always enjoy reading his responses.
  11. MCW made it awhile back, not sure if they still do. You could contact Mike and ask him if it's not currently available.
  12. Wow, that's really nice. I like the modifications you did to the frame. I have been working on one of these kits (doing Richard Petty) and intended to scrap the chassis. Now I think what you did would be great under this car. Thanks for sharing your information.

    Good choice on the wheels
  14. Can't believe no one has commented on this yet. I am a Corvette purist at heart, but I like what you are doing here. Back when Ace Speedway in Burlington NC was a dirt track , there was a racer who had a prototype C3 Corvette bodied late model. White with flames painted on it. Looked like a show car at the start of the season, not so much towards the end.
  15. Hey Dave, that wasn't an odd phenomenon, it happened to me also. Wasn't going to say anything in my earlier response just in case it was a one-off occurrence. I airbrushed Tamiya jar paint on a body, several days later wasn't happy with the shine, so I sprayed Tamiya clear on it. Same result.
  16. You sure come up with some cool projects
  17. You can get acrylic semi-gloss in a bottle and air brush or hand paint it on. It levels out good when brushing it on.
  18. That's sharp
  19. I like it without the stripes
  20. The finish is flat, so you will have to clear coat it. I have used it on Monogram Nascars with no trouble after a good primer coat.
  21. One thing I do a lot is spray a base coat of silver lacquer before my color coats. It acts as a barrier and keeps colored plastic from bleeding thru, and gives you a good solid base that shouldn't affect the main color.
  22. Sorta looks like your friend had an old Ramchargers car or else he liked the look.
  23. Looks real
